Minimal Pot size............. 36 quarts pound lean ground beef4 medium-sized fresh tomatoes1 large yellow onioncup celery, sliced3 medium carrots6 cups beef brothteaspoon table saltteaspoon ground black pepper1 cup fresh peas1 cup fresh green beans Brown the ground beef in a medium-sized skillet on medium-high heat; drain off grease. Cut the tomatoes into -inch cubes. Peel the onion and cut into -inch pieces. Cut the celery into -inch-thick slices. Peel the carrots and slice them into -inch-thick pieces.
Place the ground beef, beef broth, tomatoes, onion, celery, carrots, salt, and pepper in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low setting for 6 hours. Add the peas and green beans. Medium Pot size............. 36 quarts 1 pound beef stewing meat1 (28-ounce) can tomatoes1 medium onion6 cups water1 beef bouillon cube2 tablespoons dried parsley1 teaspoon table salt1 teaspoon dried thymeteaspoon ground black pepper1 medium zucchini2 cups cabbage, chopped1 (16-ounce) can garbanzobeans, drained1 cup uncooked shell macaroni Cut the meat into 1-inch cubes. Cut the tomatoes into -inch cubes; reserve liquid. Peel the onion and cut into -inch pieces. Combine the beef, water, tomatoes with their liquid, bouillon cube, onion, parsley, salt, thyme, and pepper in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.
Cut the zucchini into -inch thick slices. Chop the cabbage into -inch pieces. Add the zucchini, cabbage, beans, and macaroni to soup. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour.
