Leave space about 1 dc between beak andeyes and embroider as many lines as you need for creating a smallarch (the hooked beak). Finally, the yellow-head-budgie gets 2lines in light-blue over the beak (the male one), and thewhite-head-budgie gets 2 lines in rose (the female one).Put the yarn inside of the head after finishing and make someknots to fix it.Then you take the black stranded cotton and embroider 2 diagonallines under the eye. After that you make the 2 black spots, changethe side and repeat this step.

I made 2 black spots (= double knots) per side and fixed theyarn inside of the head. Rd 14-20: 24 dc (24) Now, the budgie will be filled withstuff cotton.

Take more stuff cotton step by step in the nextfollowing rounds. Rd 21: 6x (2 dc, 1 dec) (18) Rd 22: 6x (1 dc, 1 dec) (12) Rd 23: 6x 1 dec (6) 1 sc, yarn off close the gap by sewingand weave in. Now you embroider the feet with roseyarn. You do it the same way as you embroidered the beakbefore. Leave a long piece of yarn so that youcan weave in after finishing. Wings (the flying budgie; 2x in dark turquoise)
