Big heartfelt thanks to the many people who inspired this book and helped bring it to life!
Thank you
To my talented and enthusiastic team at Harvest House Publishers. Thanks to each and every one of you for your kindness and for always going above and beyond to create something special. Extra thanks to Heather for her coordination of this project and to Nicole for creating beautiful artwork. It is a joy to work with you.
To Hope, my friend and hardworking editor, thank you for making sense of what I want to say. P.S. I think you are right. After we are done training with books, we just might have a bright future at the circus on the flying trapeze! Ill meet you by the elephants.
To my behind-the-scenes cheerleader and agent, Ruth, thank you for the support and the confidence you have in my work.
To the designers at Faceout Studio, the opportunity to collaborate with you has been amazing!
To my favorite groups of ladies: the Divas, (in)courage, and the wonderful friends who have generously shown me overwhelming support and kindness along the way.
Thank you to my husband, Jerry, not only for the valiant effort in dust bunny chasing during the photography for this book but for your enthusiasm and love every step of the way. This is livin!
To Courtney, my middle daughter and partner in crime and creativity, Im grateful beyond words for your help. Thank you for the laughs, encouragement, and motivational pep talks.
To Kylee, my oldest daughter and valued part of our trio, thank you for your persistent attempts to bring order and artistry to the chaos. We are always better when we are together, so Im grateful to Lance for sharing you with us.
To Luke, my most handsome and best son, thank you for fixing everything the rest of us break with your sharp mind, strong arms, and creative talent. You are a special snowflake.
Thank you to my sister, Heather, for offering your help along the way and of course, the periodic fits of laughter over random things like necks.
And last but definitely not least, thanks, Mom and Dad, for basically everything!

MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR ENTRY, NO MATTER THE SIZE
DIYREPURPOSE A JUG INTO A LAMP
An entryway is the space that extends a warm welcome home to your family at the end of a long day away and a sincere were glad youre here to the people invited into your sanctuary. The entry provides a glimpse into the life we live within our own four walls. And if, at times, it reveals a bit too much about us, thats okay too. When were authentic, we invite our guests to be themselves. Thats hospitality at its best.
With two wildly exuberant but adorable doodle pups at our house, the chances of me opening the front door to greet a visitor without a commotion are slim. As I invite you in, let me set the scene. For several chaotic minutes, Jack and Lily will invariably fling themselves in the air and tug on your coat (I know, they failed obedience school). Then they will run up and down the stairs to show off their agility.
