Now that you have decided to spend the next couple of weeks and maybe months trying out different buttermilk recipes, there are days that you would run out of buttermilk.
There are times that you might have gotten knee-deep into preparing another delicious and fresh buttermilk delicacy, and you find out that you are out of buttermilk!
You begin to panic, and you decide if you should run over to the store to get a new can of buttermilk or if you should just let it all go!
First off, when this happens, dont panic! Second of all, you should neither run out to the store nor give up on whatever you were cooking or planning to cook!!
All you need to do is to get either cream or milk and some lemon juice or white vinegar and create makeshift buttermilk.
How to create makeshift buttermilk.
Pour a little amount of cream or milk into a bowl or jug. About 1 cup of it.
Add about a spoonful of lemon juice and vinegar to the milk. Then stir well.
