MAGDALENA MELZER
ANNE THIEMEYER
Anne Thiemeyer
has turned her hobby into her profession. She developed
her passion for needlework as a little girl when her aunt taught her how
to knit, crochet and
embroider. After graduating as a textiles engineer,
she worked in various editorial offices specialising in her own favourite
technique of crochet. She has been a freelance editor and designer for
publishers and yarn companies since 2000.
Magdalena Melzer
discovered her passion for needlework as a young
child. She was never happier than when spending hours sewing on
brightly coloured buttons and was able to prove her crafts skills later
on while working as a cutting machine operator. She rediscovered
crocheting after starting a family and ever since she has been drawn to
colourful wools. In 2012, she set up her own small company under the
label Curlyz. Now her passion is for designing and crocheting her own
colourful creations and combining the most diverse colours possible. She
and her now adult children spend every minute of their spare time busily
crocheting, surrounded by mountains of wool and the numerous brightly
coloured hats they are working
on.
