Chapter 1

One Big Island

W ith its exciting mix of exploration, action,
and building, Fortnite has become a world
wide sensation with hundreds of millions
of players. Even if youve never played the game
yourself, you probably have friends that play. Maybe
youve watched pro players stream the game online.

Each time you jump out of the Battle Bus in
Fortnite , its the start of a new adventure.

There are so many options on the Fortnite
island that it can be hard to choose where to
land.

Or maybe youre a Fortnite fanatic who has been
playing the game from the very beginning. Either way,
you know just how much fun Fortnite s colorful world
can be.

Fortnite s most popular game mode is called Battle
Royale. Battle Royale is a multiplayer competition
where 100 players at a time compete to be the last one
standing in a giant battle. Every Battle Royale match
takes place on the same map. This map is made up of
a huge island. Most other competitive online games
offer players a variety of maps to play on. This helps
make sure there is plenty of variety so players dont
get bored and move on to other games.

Fortnite is a different kind of game. Its developers
dont have to worry about players getting bored.
This is because the island is massive, and it con
tains all kinds of different environments. There are
dense forests and tall mountains. There are factories
full of machinery and parking lots packed with junk

over the course of a match. They can knock down trees
or buildings to scavenge for supplies. Or they can
use their building skills to add their own creations. No

each time a new match begins. This means everyone
is encouraged to experiment, blow things apart, and

A New Chapter

In October 2019, as Fortnite s tenth season was drawing to a close, rumors of big
changes to the game started to spread online. Fortnite players are used to seeing their
favorite game change over time. But they werent expecting what came next.

At the end of the season, players watched as a meteor struck the classic Fortnite
island and plunged the entire game into a black hole. For 2 days, no one could play
Fortnite . When players opened the game, all they saw was a small circle of blue light on
a black background, with quiet music playing. They knew something had to be coming,
but they werent sure what it would be. Finally, the game came back online. There was
an entirely new island to explore, new weapons to use, and much more. This marked the
start of Fortnite Chapter 2.

Chapter 2

Major Locations

A re you ready to tour the latest Fortnite island and
get a taste of its most notable locations? Start
by loading the game and dropping into a Battle
Royale match. You can bring some friends along or try
some solo exploration. Its all up to you.

When the match begins and you are still aboard
the Battle Bus, open your map screen. Take a look at
