PRAISE FOR
THE ENTREPRENEURIAL CLINICIAN
This book is a must-read for any health professional starting a private practice or struggling to build one. In nearly 20 years of helping professionals make the shift in mindset from clinician to a clinician-entrepreneur, Ive seen the same mistakes made over and over, leading to exhaustion and disillusionment. Jo shows health professionals how to embrace entrepreneurship while providing high-quality services, making a decent income, and having a healthy and balanced life. Well done, Jo!

This book is a fantastic reminder to clinicians to practise what we preach! As a collective of giving people interested in helping our clients and patients to live their best life, it can be easy to forget about living our own. The Entrepreneurial Clinician will show you how to put your best foot forward in business, health and life and focus on the things that really matter.

As an allied health professional, I can say that the word entrepreneurial is not one you would naturally associate with clinicians. Somewhere in our training we are taught a mindset that counters the qualities an entrepreneur needs. But Jo shows us not only why clinicians need to think entrepreneurially, but also gives us a blueprint on how to do it. Having lived and breathed this approach herself, she makes what may seem daunting become entirely possible. Along the way, she interviews other impressive experts in the field. This is a must read for any clinician who seeks the autonomy, purpose and ownership of their own entrepreneurial journey. And lets face it for the sake of allied healths future we need more people armed with the necessary resources to take this journey.

I have always been impressed with Jos coaching style and knowledge in developing the entrepreneurial clinician. Her new book is to me a guide the beacon that points the entrepreneurial clinician to deeper, more self-reflective journey towards maintaining a successful business. In this book Jo thoughtfully drives the idea that all clinicians who venture into the world of entrepreneurship, to know their worth, exercise professional boundaries, and move into their professional brand message. As a therapist who owns several businesses, I understand what it takes to be the entrepreneurial clinician, and with this book, I believe Jo has nailed it.

As I read and re-read the pages of The Entrepreneurial Clinician I could see the many facets of my own work that has become Craigs Table. The need to reach out learn more and to dig deep inside ourselves to fill the gaps and (sometimes) chasms we see each day, to serve our clients whilst at the same time remaining on course to serve ourselves not for the faint of heart or weak of knee.
The Entrepreneurial Clinician will have you zeroing in on why and what and when (the how always tags along) this journey you are on keeps you going. My suggestion to each of you learn, read and reread The Entrepreneurial Clinician often. Lean on the wisdoms that each page has to offer. Plant the seeds of the morrow knowing that you can return to The Entrepreneurial Clinician as oft as is needed.
It matters not which section of the allied health industry or not for profit you are from, The Entrepreneurial Clinician holds insights for each of you.

I connected with so much that was written in this book. I wish I had read it when I first started out in private practice as a medical doctor.
Being an entrepreneur is the most creative and satisfying way to thrive as a clinician. It is a mindset that can be taught. You just need to give yourself the permission to own it!. Jo shows you how.
My favourite chapter was number four. We should ask ourselves, is this patient the right fit for me ? Will they bring out the best clinician in me?
Its okay to say NO to people! When you do this, you will say YES more often :)
This is one book I recommend all health care professionals read!
