ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Heidi Pridemore received a bachelors degree in Industrial Design from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1995. After graduation she worked for several companies in the craft industry as a designer. In 1998 Heidi started her own design studio doing product development for a variety of companies. In 2000 her design studio started to work exclusively with fabric companies around the country, designing quilts and pattern sheets for trade shows and publications. In 2002 she created her own line of quilt patterns and in 2004 Heidi started designing fabric in her own bright and whimsical style. She currently designs fabric for Blank Quilting. Heidi is known for her whimsical, fun quilts which she often makes in dramatic, bright colors. She has designed many quilt patterns for a variety of quilting magazines such as Quiltmaker, McCalls QuickQuilts, The Quilter Magazine and Quilters World. In addition, Heidi is the author of four books: Quilted Whimsy (Leisure Arts), BoldBatik Quilts (Leisure Arts), Dazzling Designs (Leisure Arts) and Pop-Up Paper Structures (C&T Publishing). Heidi spends most of her time designing and traveling to trade shows, teaching workshops and giving lectures around the country.
