WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT
VOICES OF THE SACRED FEMININE
A wonderful book by a wonderful woman, sounding a sacred roar that rises from the rich compendium of voices within all recovering and transmitting age-old knowledge of the Sacred Feminine knowledge that has been hidden and denied us for far too long.
Anne Baring, beloved foremother, co-author of The Myth of the Goddess and author of The Dream of the Cosmos: A Quest for the Soul

My sincere thanks to the folks at WSMB Radio in New Orleans who taught me to love talk radio and to Lillian Cauldwell of Passionate Internet Voices Radio for getting me back in the saddle as host of my own show. Blog Talk Radio deserves kudos for providing an affordable platform that enabled this to happen without big bucks or show sponsorship.
I am ber grateful to the hundreds of guests who came on Voices of the Sacred Feminine Radio over a decade, sharing their ideas, wisdom and vision with listeners across the globe. You taught me and my followers so very much and left us inspired, uplifted and hopeful. My fans, you know you are the gas in my tank that kept me going year in and year out. Thank you for your listener loyalty, for your suggestions regarding show ideas, your dedication to your own continued education and your heartfelt messages that warmed my heart and helped me know I was really making a difference each week.
To the contributors of this anthology, you deserve double thanks for your time on-air and for your contribution to this labor of love, this collection of conversations, so we might document in print our many ideas to change the world.
Thanks and acknowledgment goes to Dharma, for expertise and generosity in cover selection, to Gina who keeps my website and archives coordinated, and to Liz who aided in the acquisition phase. Kudos to Flash Silvermoon for sharing her Astroflash, keeping us informed about what the cosmos was cookin up for us, and to Samantha for her co-creation of ritual on the radio. Cindy, your help with social media and patience transcribing radio show interviews was a huge help!
To the John Hunt Publishing staffTim, Mollie, John, Maria, Dominic, Catherine, and all the rest, thank you for helping me birth these conversations into the world in print!
And finally, to my husband Roy, youre the best! I so appreciated all those dinners you cooked on show nights, and for your continued encouragement and support. You gave up lots of hours we might have spent together because you knew how important the show was to me and the people it touched!
Foreword by Rev. Dr. Karen Tate
Sex, religion, power, and politics. In the Bible Belt, the southern and most conservative part of the United States, those were all the topics I was taught nice girls did not talk about, especially at the dinner table. These were the topics of discussion for men. It was more socially acceptable for women to keep their interests geared toward recipes, having babies and keeping the house clean. I can still see that dreaded list of chores Mother put on the refrigerator every week.
My parents lamented not being able to afford the costs to keep me in Catholic school, so off I went to public school, and gradually I managed to stop going to Sunday School. Just as well, because the young Irish priest with his thick Irish brogue who taught the class didnt much like my questions. Books on ancient cultures and faraway places, especially Egypt, filled the waking hours of my early years, but no one I knew shared these interests. Neither did anyone share my questions, and I instinctively knew not to discuss these things, even in whispers. Eventually I forgot the questions at least for a time.
