Attention Difference Disorder
Must Reading For All Parents
and ADHD Healthcare Professionals
Dr. Kenny Handelmans approach to ADHD as a difference than as a deficit is a breakthrough concept, and one that every parent (and doctor) needs to learn and get on board with. These children have many strengths, and focusing on deficits is too often a self-fulfilling prophecy. Easy to read, and presenting just the basic facts of what parents need to know to progress from being ADHD students to becoming ADHD experts and advocates, is exactly the right approach.
Must reading for all parents and ADHD healthcare providers.

The First Chapter Alone Is Better
Than Anything Else We Have Ever Read
We have raised two children with ADD and the first chapter alone in Dr. Handelmans book is better than anything else we have ever read or studied. The Attention Difference Disorder 7 step system makes the overwhelming task of raising a child with ADD much more simple.
As experienced parents, we found this book tremendously helpful. If you are just starting out - this book is an indispensible resource.
If you and your child want to be successful, this is the best book you could read and study.

It Can Literally Be a Lifesaver!
When I found out that my daughter was diagnosed with ADD, I can honestly say that I was confused and puzzled for days. I clearly had a what now? look on my face. I spent days researching ADD/ADHD, and tried to figure out on my own what would help our daughter, and what was simply a myth. We were finally able to turn her deficiencies into strengths, but a lot of it was trial and error.
Had I know about Dr. Handelmans book, it could have saved us weeksmaybe monthsof stress, fear and uncertainty. The information presented within is clear, and the steps are actionable. Most important, its written at a level that any parent can understand, without having to figure out unclear medical jargon. I now use the book as a refresher course, to consistently maintain a level of stability in our daughters development, and the result has been nothing short of amazing. I highly recommend the book to parents of ADD/ADHD children, and anyone wishing to get a better grasp of the conditionit can literally be a lifesaver!

I Knew This Was The Book Ive Been Looking For
ATTENTION DIFFERENCE DISORDER is an amazing book.
I feel like it was written for me rather than someone thats seeking to obtain a medical degree in the area of ADD. Shortly after I picked it up I knew this was the book that Ive been looking for. As a parent, I found the chapters on the Parents ADD Journey and Parenting Strategies extremely helpful. Thanks again; my wife will be reading this next.

You Include Extensive Parenting Strategies
I wanted to start by saying this book is great! It is the all encompassing, well written, and easy to understand book that every parent can use as they begin their ADHD journey with their child. It was so much easier to read your book than the resources that were available to me when my son was first diagnosed. I appreciate how you take a look at all the options that are available to parents and children. Many books dont take the time to include such extensive parenting strategies the way you do. This is such a key factor for long term success. I got some great tips and reminders of things I need to work on.

So Easy To Read
After reading Attention Difference Disorder I breathed a huge sigh of relief. I finally found the answers to so many frustrating problems my family had been living with for years. We all finally understand why we act and feel the way we do. Were not freaks, just different. Now we have practical tactics that have made a dramatic difference in life at home and at school. It was so easy to read, not full of unintelligible technical jargon. Even for my child who doesnt have ADHD, I learned some very good parenting techniques that help avoid the feeling, I wish this kid came with an instruction book! Thank you Dr. Handelman. Youve made a big difference.

Learn to Embrace Your Difference, Not Fight Against it.
As an adult who has ADD and is also a parent of a young adult child with ADHD, I am thrilled to see that someone finally has the guts to take a stand for the people who are blessed with this difference. I always taught my son that ADD could be his biggest asset, as it is mine, if he learned how to channel it properly. Dr. Handelman is teaching people what I had to struggle through to discover on my own; to embrace their difference, not fight against it. This concise and easy to understand book is long overdue. Thank you Dr. Handelman!
