Picture Your Profit is the perfect read for providing guidance and direction on creating brand identity and awareness using visual imagery, even if you dont have a marketing background. In the book, Pam Reid provides insight and many nuggets of wisdom on best practices to avoid pitfalls and mistakes when cultivating your brand. Her examples in the book are so descriptive, its as if I am in the background watching it unfold as she describes it (thats Pams brand). After reading Pam Reids book, Im definitely changing my approach to taking photographs and Im recommending this book to my son who loves photography.

There were many moments I found myself nodding in agreement with the authors words so vigorously, I lost my place on the page! One of my most favorite phrases the author uses is get comfortable with being uncomfortable. The challenge of communicating visual storytelling in plain language is not an easy undertaking. Inspirational and positively modern, Picture Your Profit illustrates effective photojournalism from Pam Reids point of view with joyful humor and, most notably, genuine heart. Yes, a business book focused on the expression of love! Learn to love the journey to compelling visual communication with Picture Your Profit .
Kara Jackson , nonprofit communication specialist
Picture Your Profit is a compelling and motivational resource that encourages companies to utilize the often neglected tools of love, creativity, passion, transparency, and spontaneity to engage with their employees and customers in the form of visual storytelling. The reader is taken along the authors journey of using strategic imagery that focuses on people in lieu of product, which helped to awaken my own desires to capture the moment.

Less is definitely more. Picture Your Profit is written in a way that anyone who is a beginner in the story telling field can understand and is captivating enough for a veteran in the field to enjoy and glean from. Pam Reids approach to engaging in the storytelling endeavor is heartfelt and encompasses the most important and foundational aspect of a good storythe people. I enjoyed every word, every story, and every expression of love this author shared. I wish that everyone who is in a position to make decisions about what is most important when it comes to brand awareness would read this book.
Kristin Anderson , Marketing and Communications Manager
This small and insightful book speaks volumes! It is refreshing to read a business book that doesnt focus only on the business. This book focuses on what matters most, the people and the experiences they havethe experiences that we all share in one way or another, at one time or another. There are a number of things I would not have considered important until reading Picture Your Profit . We can learn a lot from this author about how to capture whats most important and how to treat those who are most important. I am inspired to do some things differently where I work and with the people I work with. Actually, Im going to encourage them to read this book and see what happens.
Mike Bowman , Human Resources Manager
Its a competitive world to be heard, no less seen. Social media makes it easy but the volume of what we are exposed to today is great and overwhelming. Picture Your Profit reminds us of how to be aware of the simple things that can ultimately be the greatest things we want to capture and relive over and over again. Ive been taking pictures my whole life and its easy to lose sight of whats important when the competition is so fierce. This book made me think about my why, and reminded me of the joy I felt at the beginning of my career. I am so appreciative of the timing of this book and the message it conveys. A must-read for any visual storyteller and all my photographer friends.
Jeff Light , Freelance Photographer
Picture Your Profit is a well-written, fun read. I love all the sweet stories peppered throughout the book. I also appreciate the good, solid nuggets that I plan to implement in my day-to-day at the company I work for. There is much to glean from this book, and the people I work with can surely benefit from reading it as well. Its important for decision-makers to understand that there is no compromise when it comes to acknowledging and recognizing the value and contributions of those who support your business and your efforts. The good and the not-so-good make for a story that everyone can relate to. Theres something to learn from it as well. Picture Your Profit provides an idea, an opportunity if you will, to do something different in the way of elevating the business brand and the people whose backs it all rests on.

I love all the information, stories, and pics in this phenomenal book. I learned so much that I plan to incorporate as I continue to create my design stories. Picture your Profit is a very informative read. Pam Reid shares with the audience another side of photography. She is compelled to create and deliver something special in each experience. Culminated with the knowledge of her profession, the way she crafts her stories tells you she is passionate and loves every detail. Im excited to watch her in her element, as she creates through her lens, not just ordinary as she puts it, but extraordinary photo stories that all can enjoy!
Alicia Taylor , owner and interior designer, Design and Style Studio
What a fantastic read! Pam Reid is very talented. This was such a fantastic quote: love is the most powerful emotion there is. If you can harness the power of love, simply by genuinely expressing it to others, the most amazing things begin to happen. This is spot on! Things that have love behind them are set apart. They have a different something about them. I also connected to when the author said that customers have a need. When you demonstrate an understanding of this, it can help to motivate them. This is so relevant to teaching! Students are our customers and we need them to trust that we understand them and their needs so that we can help motivate them to succeed! This book can totally connect to and be relevant for people in many different fields.
