Having a checklist that includes everything from hours worked to technology distributed can be helpful for all parties involved, to ensure that the employee has everything they need to succeed, while also understanding their role and the expectations that go along with that role. Having a defined set of expectations can make it easier to adhere to the remote work policy set forth by the library/town/HR department/library board, and so forth, and can be helpful when beginning and/or ending a remote work term. Making sure that remote work terms are as clear and defined as possible when starting out will go a long way to mitigating confusion and frustration later.
