ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Joanna James started her career as a commodity broker in London, before affecting adaring escape to Beijing, where she studied at Peking University. She nowlives in Hong Kong and works as a freelance writer and photographer. The Rough Guide to Myanmar is the first book Jo hasco-authored.
Gavin Thomas ( gavinthomas.net ,@gavinthomastrav) is a freelance travel journalistspecializing in Asia and Arabia. He has worked for Rough Guides for overfifteen years, writing and contributing to numerous books including theRough Guides to Sri Lanka, India, Rajasthan, Dubai, Oman andCambodia.
Martin Zatko has written or contributed to more than twenty Rough Guides, includingthose to Korea, China, Japan, Vietnam, Turkey and Europe. He first visitedMyanmar in 2008, and often leans on the country as an answer to the trickyquestion of his favourite place to travel.
