GEEK CHIC FASHION
Welcome to my crafty kingdom, dear do-it-yourselfers! This little book of projects and inspiration is your guide to the adventure of making cute stuff with your own two hands.
I am such a huge nerd for creating stuff, whether its concocting candy people in my laboratory or knitting a sweater for a friend. Handmade things make mad special presents! Nothing says I like you a lot quite like a gift you took the time to make yourself.
The citizens of Ooo (and the outer reaches of Lumpy Space) have inspired thousands of fans to stitch, sculpt, paint, and otherwise craft delightful works of handmade art. This book brings together a dazzling array of handmade fashion, charming toys for kids and grown-ups of all ages, decor to deck out your digs, and other ideas that will add candy-colored fun to your world.
You shall also be pleasantly surprised to find that many of these projects dont require special tools or extraordinary skills. If you can thread a needle, youre good to go. (And if you cant... well, theres always fabric glue!) More advanced projects are also included, as I hope they will inspire you to pick up a fun new hobby.
So lets start flexing those creative muscles and limber up for a major craftathon. Its gonna be bloobaloobie! P RINCESS B ONNIBEL B UBBLEGUM
I firmly believe that no one is ever too old to play with toys. If you enjoy watching cartoons, then you are still a child at heart!
Small toys are perfect for trying out new craft techniques and getting comfortable with the tools and materials you will need to use for more complicated projects later in this book. Break out the pointy needles, hot-glue guns, and stacks on stacks of felt. Peepsll never be bored in my crafty empire!
R eenact your favorite episode of Adventure Time, or invent one entirely your own with these finger puppets and stage. You choose which parallel universe you want to live in: Finn and Jakes or Fionna and Cakes!
The puppets and stage utilize a lot of supplies that you might already have around the house. Assembled with a little hand stitching and fabric glue, the puppets whip up fast for maximum cuteness. If youre making the stage with little kids, make sure that a responsible adult is in charge of the craft knife.
