Memory Cocktail N1:
I Want To Memorize 10 Words
In Less Than One Minute
1) Pick up your ingredients, you will require:
2) Prepare & Shake your cocktail:
Apply the stacking technique on the 10 words you want to memorize but before, just have a quick look on how the technique is applied on a random list.
Example of how to proceed
Lets take a random list of 10 words to remember:
Roof, grass, cell, sun, leaf, bird, pen, dam, clock, flower.
1) Roof . Imagine an orange very large roof. This roof is totally flat. On all the surface of this roof is planted some
2) Grass . Its green color is very bright and intense, and 4 very thick blades of grass are growing very fast. On these 4 blades of grass, lays a
3) Cell . This totally black cell has a square shape and an enormous mouth. This cell is feeding on sunbeams from the
4) Sun . It is spreading very hot and dazzling sunbeams. The sun activates and deactivates randomly its different sunbeams as if they were spotlights in a discotheque. The sun is also chewing a
5) Leaf . Its unusual color, red, is because the leaf is bleeding human blood. The leaf is screaming some swear words to a
6) Bird . This bird has an extremely long beak and it is whistling the Beethovens 9th symphony. The bird lands on a
7) Pen . It is a tiny black pen, at least visible and shaped like a spiral. The pen starts to draw a
8) Dam . A pink and gigantic one made of stainless steel on which is engraved the alphabet in golden letters. On the top left corner of the dam is fixed a
9) Clock . Its ticking creates an incredibly loud noise. All the numbers of the clock are burning in a bright fire and spread an intense grey smoke. The minute hand of the clock represents a
10) Flower . With an extremely nice scent, this flower has four magnificent heart shaped white petals.
Do It Now On Your Own 10 Words List
Now apply the stacking technique on your own list of 10 words. Less than five seconds should be enough to create one image. With little training, you will see that five seconds are widely enough and one picture can be created in two or three seconds.
Once all the pictures are created, review these pictures. Concentrate for a few seconds on each picture to fix it in your mind and...
...Enjoy! YOU ARE NOW ABLE TO RESTITUTE the whole list by heart and in the right order, or in the reverse order, however you wish!
Tomorrow and without any effort, you will still remember this list. You can remember it for a very long time if you review it occasionally.
It is also very easy to have several lists in memory at the same time.
Memory Cocktail N2:
I Want To Memorize A Poem (Or A Short Text)
1) Pick up your ingredients, you will require:
2) Prepare & Shake your cocktail:
Apply the Text-Splitting Technique on the poem or text you want to memorize.
You will want to read the whole poem or text again in the evening immediately before falling asleep and in the morning upon waking during 3 days. Leave the text aside and dont think about it during 4 to 5 days. Then, repeat the same work morning and evening during 3 days.
Know, you should know your poem or text by heart and better than anyone else since it is deeply engraved in your memory.
Memory Cocktail N3:
I Want To Memorize A Shakespeare Play
1) Pick up your ingredients, you will require:
2) Prepare & Shake your cocktail:
Dividing the book into several parts
First you will want to divide the whole book into several parts. It can be whether equal parts or logical parts or custom parts. For instance, lets take a random Shakespeare play: Hamlet (have you ever heard of it?). In one Kindle edition, Hamlet is 104 pages long with 5 acts. The first act has 5 scenes, the second 2 scenes, the third 4 scenes, the fourth 7 scenes and the fith act has 2 scenes, which makes a total of 20 scenes. You can choose to divide it in 26 equal parts, in this case each part will be 4 pages long. You can also choose to divide it by scene, in this case you will have 20 logical parts (because there are 20 scenes). Or you can choose a random division of the book for example based on events of the book that you find important, or to divide each scene in two to get 40 different parts. It is totally up to you to decide in how many parts you want to divide the book. You will not want to have too many parts nor too few parts (dividing a 104 pages book in 487 parts makes no sense as well as dividing it in 2 parts). A reasonable division would be between 10 and 50 parts, and one part should be maximum 10 pages long.
Applying the text splitting technique on each of the parts
Lets suppose you divided previously Hamlet in 20 equal parts (such as the 20 scenes). You will now want to apply the text splitting technique on each one of these parts separately, starting from the first part of the beginning of the book until the last one. This process may be long and take you several days to cover the whole play (reading the complete Hamlet play already takes you several hours). All depends here on the rhythm you want to set for yourself.
