Appendix A is a numerical listing of all the DSM-IV diagnoses and codes. The reader should use the index to locate information about the disorder. For rarer conditions not included in the chapters, refer to the DSM-IV-Text Revision .

Each chapter in the Primer contains a self-help section that identifies key sources of information for the various topics. Appendix B includes advocacy and support organizations, survivors accounts, as well as videos, movies, and books that pertain to the section discussed in the text. Appendix C is a listing of organizations of professionals that deal with the mental disorders listed as well as federal government agencies that may be of help.
