What people are saying about
CRY LIKE A MAN
The souls of men are begging to cry and its time to release the pain. Cry Like a Man is a key that Jason Wilson is using to unlock the door for men of all ethnicity to release that pain through tears, transparency, and love rather than through fighting, unresolved anger, and abuse.
Lewis Howes, entrepreneur; New York Times bestselling author of The School of Greatness
Jason Wilson is a gift to our nation thats enslaved by a dangerous and ridiculous understanding of masculinity. Hes coaching us how to rear real men who know that emotions empower us, growing our capacity for courage, love, faith, hope, and so much more. As the Irish proverb says, Never trust a warrior who cannot cry. Hes creating a new kind of warrior. Learn from him. Support him. Join him.
Paul Coughlin, founder and president of The Protectors; bestselling author of No More Christian Nice Guy: When Being NiceInstead of GoodHurts Men, Women, and Children
I am so excited about Jason Wilsons new book, Cry Like a Man. Through personal stories and lessons that apply to all, Wilson shows us the power of connecting with our emotions in an increasingly disconnected world. This is a must-read for any brother seeking to better understand what he feels and why and for any sister seeking to discern the same.
Joshua Dubois, CEO of Values Partnerships; former White House faith-based advisor to President Barack Obama; bestselling author of The Presidents Devotional
Jason Wilson writes a new narrative in the hearts of our black boys, one that liberates them to be the whole beautiful human beings God designed them to be.
Trabian Shorters, founder and CEO of BMe Network; coauthor of New York Times bestseller Reach: 40 Black Men Speak on Living, Leading, and Succeeding
Jason Wilson is a transformational leader with a God-given ability to stand conventional wisdom on its head, unearthing the power found in struggle, pain, and compassion. Jasons life is an authentic testament to the manner, in which God uses trials, tears, and triumph to purge trauma and lifes losses from the hearts of men. The truth found within this book will empower men of all ethnicities with the tools needed to break free from emotional incarceration.
Rodney Bullard, Vice President of Community Affairs, Chick-fil-A, Inc.; Executive Director, Chick-fil-A Foundation
Growing up playing football, you are taught to never show weakness. No matter what the situation was, I was told to always be a man and suck it up. Unfortunately, that mentality forced me to bottle up my emotions, causing some long-term negative effects and conflicts in my life. Jason Wilson is leading the way to freedom from emotional incarceration.
Reggie Bush, Heisman Trophy Winner; Super Bowl Champion
Jason Wilsons incredible interactions with young boys will make you cry. Exhibiting strength in all its formsphysical, emotional, spiritualhe connects with the students at Detroits Cave of Adullam Transformational Training Academy in a way that both empowers and inspires them to strive for their wildest dreams and to know with certainty that they are indeed attainable. In Cry Like a Man, Wilson shares his remarkable journey through unspeakable loss to wholeness and fulfillment. Every young man needs a Jason Wilson in his life. Through Cry Like a Man, many will find one.
Chris Broussard, NBA analyst and broadcaster; FOX Sports
Jason Wilson is one of the leading voices and practitioners in the nation when it comes to providing black boys and young men with a God-inspired blueprint for growing into emotionally healthy men. Ive witnessed first-hand his transformational teachings and loving leadership that happens in The Cave of Adullam, and I am so encouraged by the potential of his book to spread his empowering message to the many hearts and minds that desperately need to hear it.

To every man who is tired of not being able to say he is tired.
I was relieved when I met Jason Wilson and heard his story and revelation. I clearly related well to his story, but I admit that I never knew I could be delivered from what he so eloquently refers to as emotional incarceration. The way I grew up I couldnt help but become callous and numb. I was a young black man searching for identity in my surroundings.
Little did I know, who I was and would become would be later found on the inside. The most defining years of my youth were spent living in South Philadelphia in a housing project called Passyunk Homes. It was low-income housing meant primarily for woman and children, but some men were allowed to live there. A few of the couples were even married. It was a very active neighborhood and criminal behavior was at a high volume. Drug dealers and their associates occupied many of the street corners. They demanded respect from everyone and was ready to render a consequence to anyone failing to demonstrate that respect.
