Eric Vanderburg is a Christian cybersecurity leader, consultant, author, and thought leader. He is best known for his insight on cybersecurity, privacy, cloud, and storage. He is passionate about sharing cybersecurity and technology information on strategies, techniques, current events, and best practices. He regularly presents at conferences, seminars, and other events, and has been honored to be the commencement speaker at Remington College and Vatterott College. His blog and social media channels are often cited as must-read sources for those interested in technology and security.
Eric is a continual learner and has earned over 40 technology certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, (ISC)2, Rapid7, EMC, CWNP, and Hitachi Data Systems. He holds an MBA with a concentration in Information Systems from Kent State University, a BS in Technology, and an AS in Computer Information Systems. He also studied Japanese technology management practices at Kansai Giada University.
He leads the cybersecurity consulting division at TCDI. TCDIs cybersecurity division, which provides companies with peace of mind in our digital world by protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and critical systems. TCDI security practitioners, analysts, engineers, and forensic investigators apply their unique skills to create confidence in information systems and policies.
In addition to being the Vice President of Cybersecurity at TCDI, Eric is the affiliate faculty at the Cleveland State University Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, and Technology Director at Grace Baptist Church in Westlake, Ohio. He serves on the editorial board for the HITSF Journal and on advisory boards for a number of colleges. He has published books on storage networking and cloud computing, and has served as a technical editor for several other publications. Additionally, he frequently writes articles for magazines, journals, and other publications.
Vanderburg lives in Cleveland, Ohio, with his wife Aimee. He has two children, Faith and Jacob. In his spare time, he can often be found building arcade and pinball machines or reading novels.
