This book began as an attempt to update a 1978 work by John Reddaway, the former Director of the Council for the Advancement of ArabBritish Understanding. It quickly became clear that an entirely new book was in the offing. But I am deeply indebted to David Watkins, Mr Reddaway's successor, for granting me permission to utilize large portions of Commentaries on Recurrent Themes of Zionist Propaganda about Palestine and for encouraging me to write this book.
