DEDICATION
T his book is dedicated to the millions of black and other Americans with conservative values who all too often dare not speak up due to intimidation, or fear of retribution or retaliation in todays misguided politically correct society.
I want to give special thanks and a note of appreciation to Christopher Ruddy, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Newsmax Media for bringing me into the Newsmax fold, where I have been able to express my political views to the vast worldwide Newsmax.com audience, both in my Newsmax.com blog, The Silent Minority from which many of the articles in this book were taken, and through appearances on Newsmax TV.
Commendation is also due to Newsmax former Opinion Editor Nick Sanchez, whose guidance, encouragement and support has made me a much better writer. The same accolades apply to former editors Paul Scicchitano and David Alliott as well as to the input and advice I receive from Newsmax Information Specialist and editor Anthony Rizzo. In addition, it is also important to acknowledge former Editorial Director Steve Cozwho said, over seven years ago, Send me an articleand the great team at Newsmax TV.
Also deserving of mentions and thanks are Christopher Dolan, president and executive Editor of the Washington Times, and Human Events Publisher and Editor-in-Chief Will Chamberlain for granting permission to use my articles (The Closed Minds of Black Leaders, from 1983, and End Monopoly of Black Overseers, in 2001, respectively) in this book.
Regarding the Human Events article, also deserving of a note of appreciation is then-Editor Terry Jeffrey, currently editor-in-chief of CNS News, who published it.
I am honored and flattered that this book was endorsed by former Congressman Lieutenant Colonel Allen B. West (US Army, Retired), Evangelist Alveda King, BlakPAC Chairman George Farrell and former Florida Lieutenant Governor Jennifer Carroll. I thank them all for their support.
Last but not least is the guidance and assistance I received in putting this book together by the great production, design, and editing team at Palmetto Publishing GroupAbby, Erin, Jessica and Jordon.
The political insights in this book result from years of experience and associations with some of the nations great leaders and public servants, including New York Senator Jacob K. Javits (R-NY); former Federal Communications Commissioner and NAACP Executive Director Benjamin L. Hooks; and, of course, former President Ronald Reagan, during his Reagan for President campaign and presidencyand some of his key staff, including especially Lyn Nofziger, who taught me so much about the world of presidential politics (and who shared a fancy for Tabasco sauce and Bombay gin).
To them and the many others too numerous to mention, in Scottsville, New York; Washington, DC; and Florida, a huge debt of gratitude is owed and expressed.
Finally, none of my accomplishments would have been possible without the support and guidance of my loving parents, Mac and Etta McKee!
