The authors profoundly and rightly proclaim: Americas brilliant Founders judged politics and governments according to freedom. Tyranny was cruel and oppressive while anarchy was violent and unstable. One was total law, the other was no law. They realized that true freedom reflects a balanced center, where citizens could live in the most freedom possibleyet within an ordered and stable society, sliding neither into tyranny or anarchy. Thomas Jefferson called this balanced center Peoples Law.
Brace yourself for the reality of life on the brink of a whole new worldviewup close and personal.

    PREFACE

L ook around! Its clear that things are in a mess. Conflict, rage, destruction, riots, storms, fires, catastrophes, and confusion. It almost seems as though we are in a war between good and evil.

    Wait! I believe we are!

To go back to the beginning, the origin of things in the world today, we have to go to Genesis, the book of beginnings. The trouble were in started way back at the beginning of this world we live in. At first, in the Garden of Eden all was harmonious. People, animals, and even nature all lived without strife in a mystical perfection. The reason for all this harmony was the alignment of all things with a good God. Do not be deceived by false promises of a godless utopia without the true God.

The trouble started in Genesis 3:1-6, from the Easy-to-Read (ERV) translation of the Bible:

The snake was the most clever of all the wild animals that the Lord God had made. The snake spoke to the woman and said, Woman, did God really tell you that you must not eat from any tree in the garden? The woman answered the snake, No, we can eat fruit from the trees in the garden. But there is one tree we must not eat from. God told us, You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden. You must not even touch that tree, or you will die. But the snake said to the woman, You will not die. God knows that if you eat the fruit from that tree you will learn about good and evil, and then you will be like God! The woman could see that the tree was beautiful and the fruit looked so good to eat. She also liked the idea that it would make her wise. So she took some of the fruit from the tree and ate it. Her husband was there with her, so she gave him some of the fruit, and he ate it.

There were two trees in the Garden paradise: The Tree of Life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Whatever we eat becomes part of who we are. At first, Adam and Eve knew only God. And He is truly good. When they ate of the wrong tree, they partook of a source that included evil and good. However, it was a false good that only looked good on the surface. We can easily recognize many tricksters in the world today. However, there are many things that appear to be good but theyre not the God kind of good. They spring from the false good that only appears to be good.

Instead of one source, God, ruling over everything and bringing forth the true good, an evil source began to wage war for control. The snake, satan, that old con artist, deceived Eve by pretending to offer something good. Most people resist things that are obviously evil but get sucked in by phony good.

God is really smart. He sent His Son, Jesus, to bring an end to the war. Oh its not over yet, but God wrote the finale in His book, the Bible. So, we enter into what God is doing and become part of the mop up crew.
