Giancarlo Chiro is Senior Lecturer in the School of Communication, International Studies and Languages at the University of South Australia. He has published book chapters and journal articles on migration, ethnicity, multiculturalism and intercultural relations. His recent publication is The Rise and Fall of Multiculturalism in Australia: A Return to Integrationism? in Languages in Australian Education: Problems, Prospects and Future Directions, edited by A. J. Liddicoat and A. Scarino (Cambridge Scholars Publishing 2010).
Danielle Drozdzewski is Lecturer in Geography at the University of New South Wales. She has published refereed journal articles on migration, cultural memory, identity and ethnographic geographies. Her publications include A Place called Bielany: Negotiating a Diasporic Polish Place in Sydney (Social and Cultural Geography 2007).
Kevin M. Dunn is Professor in Human Geography and Urban Studies at the University of Western Sydney. He has published several books and journal articles on immigration and settlement; Islam in Australia; the geographies of racism; and local government and multiculturalism. Recent book chapters include Performing Australian Nationalisms at Cronulla, in Lines in the Sand edited by G. Noble (Institute of Criminology Press 2009), Public attitudes towards hijab-wearing in Australia, in Beyond the Hijab Debates: New Conversations on Gender, Race and Religion edited by T. Dreher and C. Ho (Cambridge Scholars Press 2009).
Selen Ayirtman Ercan is a doctoral student in the Political Science Program of the Australian National University. She has written articles on the various aspects of democratic theory and practice. Her recent publications are Achieving Success in Large Scale Deliberation: Analysis of the Fremantle Bridge Community Engagement Process (ANU 2008), co-authored with J Hartz Karp and Euro-parties as Transnational Networks: Contribution of the Euro-parties in the Emergence of a European Public Sphere in European Civil Society: Concepts, Actors, Strategies edited by B. Finke and M. Knodt (VS Verlag fr Sozialwissenschaften 2005), co-authored with C. Putz.
Ruth Fincher is Professor of Geography at the University of Melbourne. She has published books and journal articles on the urban outcomes of immigration and multiculturalism, diversity and difference in cities, gender issues, inequality and locational disadvantage. Her books include
