More than thirty years after his first investigation of the Nazi undergroundwhich saw him detained at Chile's notorious Colonia DignidadPeter Levenda has returned to his quest for the truth about the genuine character of the Nazi cult and the people and political movements it has influenced in the decades since the end of World War Two.
The wide sweep of this investigation moves from a Ku Klux Klan headquarters in Reading, Pennsylvania, to the New York City office of the Palestine Liberation Organization; from the apartment of a notorious neo-Nazi leader, to an Islamic boarding schoolheadquarters of the man who ordered the Bali Bombings. When Levenda uncovered the existence of a Nazi underworld in Asia, the nexus of religion, politics, terrorism and occult beliefs was revealed to be the real domain of the threat to global security.
This book will challenge all you are accustomed to believe about such subjects as the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamist terrorism; about Tibetan and Zen Buddhism; about such popular concepts as ODESSA and the underground Nazi network that has been financing global terror since the postwar period; and even about the alleged death of one of history's most infamous killers, Adolf Hitler.
Meticulously researchedfrom archival material and declassified intelligence agency files, to personal interviews and investigations undertaken in Asia, Europe, and Latin AmericaThe Hitler Legacy is the story of how the mistakes of the twentieth century have come home to roost in the twenty-first. The failure of American, British and Soviet intelligence agencies to hunt down Nazi war criminals and disrupt their networks meant that we were unprepared when a similar enemy decided to use the same structures to prosecute their campaigns. Both the Nazi and jihadist networks are composed of nonstate actors involved in asymmetrical warfare against identical enemies. Both are fueled by ideologies that combine apocalyptic fanaticism and anti-Semitism with a rabid hatred of Western decadence.
This book further documents how the cynical manipulation of religion (including Christianity, Islam and Buddhism) and the politics of the post-war period resulted in the devastating experience of the September 11, 2001 attacks on New York and the Pentagon. lire failure of such policies continue to influenceand threaten ustoday.
This is a book for those engaged in religious, esoteric or spiritual studies as well as those with an interest in world politics, history and terrorism.

Any man who sees Europe now must realize that victory in a great war is not something you win once and for all, like victory in a ball game. Victory in a great war is something that must be won and kept won. It can be lost after you have won itif you are careless or negligent or indifferent.
President Harry Truman, Radio Address, August 9, 1945
It is not mere chance that millions in Germany are of the holy conviction that National Socialism is more than politics, that in it the word and the will of God proclaim itself, that the bulwark it has created against Bolshevism was conceived on higher inspiration as the last salvation of Occidental culture before the threat of Asiatic atheism.
Joseph Goebbels, From Kaiserhof to Reich Chancellery, 1934.
INTRODUCTION
I n the early morning hours of Saturday, October 11, 2008, the government-issued Volkswagen Phaeton V6 luxury sedan sped along the slick road outside of Klagenfurt, Austria. There was little traffic at that hour, and the driver was confident of the road having driven it for much of his life, and having been in an accident previously, was especially cautious. But, after all, the Phaeton was a top-of-the-line automobile with an excellent safety record and numerous fail-safe features such as anti-lock brakes, a traction control system, and an electronic differential lock that transfers power from one wheel to another when the first one is going faster than the second.
The posted speed limit was 42 miles per hour.
The driver was doing 88.
He had had a few drinks that evening and was feeling no pain. It was a time to celebrate, after all. His party had won another resounding victory and it meant that the Bruderschaft was even more firmly entrenched in the Austrian government. Their position on immigration was one major factor in their success. Of course, his deputy had made the mistake of using the word in public that everyone used in privateUmvolkunga word from the past that was used to refer to ethnic cleansing, and was criticized for it immediately. But it was there, out in the open, and anyway it was ten years ago and didn't seem to harm his party's position.
