Leszek Balcerowicz, Poland's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance since November 1997, is a Professor of Economics at the Warsaw School of Economics. Cheryl W. Gray is the Director of the Public Sector Group in the Poverty Reduction and Economic Management Network of the World Bank, Washington, D.C.
