EXPLORE YOURSELF & OTHERS! Written by 5-Time EMMY Winning writer/actor Paul Wagner (paulwagner., this book is a friendly guide, a personal development tool and the start of a conversation. With a fairly broad stroke, this book explores a perceived subset of the spectrum of colorful personalities and attributes that operate within the collective human psyche. By exploring and finding empathy for these attributes, we move closer to the source. By seeing ourselves in every living being we experience and interact with, we become free. Beautiful, full-color illustrations by renowned artist Loukia Kyriakidou bring to life the look and feel of each personality. The book delves into the spiritual, psychological, emotional and behavioral aspects of each personality and provides a morsel of insight into how we might improve or celebrate each one. Each chapter lists the challenges and strengths of each persona, along with a list of healing modalities that can help the personality transform in a given moment. You are invited to explore, embrace, forgive and celebrate these aspects within yourself and others. May you move successfully past your stories and closer to emotional and spiritual freedom. THE PURPOSE OF OUR PERSONALITIES Much like our spirits enter our bodies at birth, we step into personalities, which are nothing more than vehicles for interacting with physical realities. We use personalities to interact with the universe, make friends, get jobs and get attention. By temporarily naming and then exploring our personalities, we make them more relatable, which helps us process unattended emotions and experiences. Doing so, we increase our ability to forgive ourselves and others, our awareness expands and we grow. Over time, we evolve out of some personalities, stepping into clearer, more advanced representations of ourselves. At the ends of our lives, we drop all personalities and we return to source. This does not mean that our souls die, it means we go back to an existence without pretense or construct. The purpose of life is to release the features within us that are incongruent with the source of all life. This is what the masters who have appeared throughout time have taught us. Buddha, Mohammed, Jesus, Krishna, Lao Tzu, Quan Yin, Amma, Paramahansa Yogananda, Swami Vivekananda, Osho, Thich Nhat Hanh, Sai Baba and all the light beings who brighten our spirits, point to a oneness with creation, a merging with eternity. They desire for us to go through the process of Self-realization, seeking nirvana, the state of the perfect non-existence of self-serving desires. Some people pursue this clear state by praying, chanting or by living monastic lives, but the majority of us utilize relational, emotional and psychological modalities to serve our spiritual advancement. These tools bring us closer to the Self, expanding our awareness, clarity and sense of freedom. Life is challenging. Mistakes are part of the plan. Forgive. Let go. Reboot.

AUTHORS NOTE

When Carl Jung unveiled his famous personality archetypes, it gave the world a framework for self-exploration. I strive to do the same, but with more specificity.

This book came to me in a dream where I saw hundreds of personality faces cascading in a waterfall. As I wrote about each personality, I saw parts of myself in the writing and I began to feel and release emotions. I soon realized that this book was a tool to help me heal and evolve.

The deeper I looked into each personality, the more I unearthed aspects of myself that had challenged me for years. I released events, attitudes, beliefs, relationships, emotions and suffering that Ive carried since childhood. Doing so, I liberated my being and found a sweet clarity.

Looking at ourselves honestly gives rise to our emotions. Upon their release, we heal the aspects of ourselves that bind us. This expands our understanding and our ability to be authentic and present.

To understand everything is to forgive everything. -Buddha

We are an ever-changing chemical equation in pursuit of balance and equanimity. Our thoughts, desires and intentions affect our personal alchemy. We are in control of these things, creating realities upon every thought and intention. If we so desire, we can gently release people, events, beliefs and circumstances that no longer serve us. In the process, we transform this, prior and future lives.

We are all born from a divine spark. This spark, however pure, cannot prevent us from adopting debilitating characteristics and attitudes. Healing these aspects helps us evolve.

To begin your journey, select three personalities that appeal to you. Read each chapter and journal about what comes up for you. Fully express yourself.

Imagine how each personality is reflective of you and of the people in your life. See each personality as a representation of an aspect of the universe calling you to heal and master it.

I am grateful for Mata Amritanandamayi (also known as Amma, and found at Amma.org) for allowing me to open many of her retreats with a spiritual comedy show. Sitting on her stage was profound and life changing.

Thank you Yogi Bhajan, Thich Nhat Hanh, Chogyam Trungpa, Karmu, Day Lone Wolf, Hawk and Larry Hewitt for showing me how to be vulnerable and fearless at the same time.

I have deep gratitude for Dr. Xiaoshen Jin and Randy Nargi for their brilliance , kindness and support. Thank you to Ellis Mensah and Craig Ephraim for buying the first books! Thank you John Sacco, Jill Aramiah, Barry Wolfman, Sebastian Posern, Tom LaRotonda and Annique Wagner-Hiester for providing valuable encouragement and feedback.

May we shed constricting veils that imprison us and achieve the utmost level of joy.

HOW TO USE THIS BOOK

EXPLORE YOURSELF & OTHERS!

This book is a friendly guide, a personal development tool and the start of a conversation. With a fairly broad stroke, it explores a perceived subset of the spectrum of colorful personalities, avatars and attributes that operate within the collective human psyche.

Every experience results in the accumulation of attitudes, intentions and beliefs, which live in us as magnets. Left unchecked, our internal magnets can attract undesirable experiences to our lives. These magnets also form identity masks (personalities) within us, which also attract experiences. We are at the mercy of these amorphous, embedded constructs until we recognize, heal and release them.

You are invited to explore, embrace, forgive and celebrate these aspects within yourself and others. May you move successfully past your stories and closer to emotional and spiritual freedom.

THE PURPOSE OF OUR PERSONALITIES

Much like our spirits enter our bodies at birth, we step into personalities, which are nothing more than vehicles for interacting with physical realities.

They desire for us to go through the process of Self-realization , seeking nirvana, the state of the perfect non-existence of self-serving desires.

Some people pursue this clear state by praying, chanting or by living monastic lives, but the majority of us utilize relational, emotional and psychological modalities to serve our spiritual advancement. These tools bring us closer to the Self, expanding our awareness, clarity and sense of freedom.

By exploring and finding empathy for the broad spectrum of human attributes inherent in the human condition, we move closer to the source. By seeing ourselves in every living being we experience and interact with, we become free. With one intention, one action, we can awaken.

HOW TO EXPLORE YOUR PERSONALITIES

When reading a personality chapter, give thought to how you relate to it. As you see reflections of yourself and others in the readings, consider releasing the behaviors and notions you find hurtful or distasteful. As feelings emerge, fully express them vocally or by writing about them.

Life is challenging. Mistakes are part of the plan. Forgive. Let go. Reboot.
