Nick Grantham, MSc, CSCS, regional lead strength and conditioning coach at the English Institute of Sport
Robert dos Remedios has long been one of my own go-to guys when it comes to athletic conditioning. With this project he has really delivered the goods. Mens Health Power Training illustrates exactly how to develop real-world athletic, functional strength through scientifically sound, yet infinitely practical strength-training programs. This book should be a staple in strength coaches offices worldwide.
Alwyn Cosgrove, MSc, CSCS, performance enhancement specialist
When I think of Robert dos Remedios, two words come to mind: experience and excellence. I challenge you to find another strength coach in the country that has successfully trained more large groups of athletes. This guy is the master of the team training session. Robert is continually tweaking, modifying, and improving his programs. He is always ready and willing to talk shop and colorfully debate any new training methods. His programs will never go stale. I have learned a lot from Robert over the years.
Jim Liston, MEd, CSCS, president of CATZ, Competitive Athlete Training Zone
There are theorists who make assumptions as to what should work, and there are practitioners who know what does work. Dos Remedios is a true practitioner. Mens Health Power Training represents years of his own applied in-the-trenches research culminating in one of the most successful programs youll find anywhere. This book is about real strength training.
Bill Hartman, PT, CSCS, USAW, ART, owner of PR Performance Sport and Fitness Training
Finally, a book that puts the strength back in strength training. Robert dos Remedios uses his championship-proven formula to deliver results, not gimmicks. This makes Mens Health Power Training a must-read for anyone who wants to build a better-performing, better-working, and better-looking body.
Adam Campbell, MS, CSCS, Mens Health magazine sports and nutrition editor
For over 14 years, Ive had the pleasure of working with hundreds of this industrys top strength coaches, personal trainers, and kinesiologists in the world, but few have ever impressed me to the same degree as Robert dos Remedios. His expertise in exercise is only surpassed by his ingenious workout routines. Mens Health Power Training is not only a combination of both, but perhaps one of the best resources anyone thats serious about building solid strength can have at their disposal.
Myatt Murphy, Mens Health magazines first fitness editor and author of The Body You Want in the Time You Have
Robert dos Remedios builds the best athletes at the college level year after year. By no accident he has also built one of the best strength and conditioning products available today. Whatever your goals, physique transformation or athletic excellence, Mens Health Power Training is the perfect staple for your everyday fitness.
Cameron McGarr, CSCS, strength and conditioning specialist
I have had nothing but the utmost respect for dos Remedios and his work from the first time I met him. Dos has more practical, real-world experience working with athletes than just about all of the other armchair experts out there combined. Thousands of hours of in-the-trenches experience and the outstanding results he has continually attained make Dos one of the leaders in the field of strength and conditioning. This book should be a part of every trainers library. When Dos talks training, I listen.
Jason Ferruggia, conditioning specialist

FOREWORD
This is the type of book I wish Id had when I was a kid. When I began to strength train in my teens, the only information available came from the muscle magazines that dominated our thought process in the 1970s. Oddly, in 2007, it seems as though we havent come all that far. A visit to the gym today will find numerous trainees using outdated philosophies that stem from the bodybuilding days of the 1950s and 60s. But this book is a huge step in the right direction as we attempt to expose the public to the exercise concepts that have been used for more than a decade in the sports world. An old maxim says, Learning always takes twice as long as it should. First you have to unlearn the old stuff, and then you have to learn the new stuff.
