I m an electrical engineering and computer science graduate. A classic geek who reads science books for fun and entertainment. As such, much of what Deborah teaches should be dismissed by my rational, scientific mind. Energy healing should be nothing more than outdated beliefs from shamanic or ancient practices that existed long before the silicon age.

Except that I cant.

Over the last three decades, Ive had experiences with energy healing that defy explanation. No matter how I tried, my scientific mind could not explain them. My doctors attributed them to the placebo effect, which is nothing more than simply saying, It worked. We dont know how, but your mind did it.

This is why I feel Deborahs work is so important. While we cannot scientifically explain how energy healing works, we know that it does. And for many people, it goes beyond just physical healing into healing ones emotional state, feelings about the world, and self-esteem. Its inexplicable but powerful stuff.

I like to explain it to my fellow left-brained minds as follows: For thousands of years mankind has used the sun for multiple purposesfrom navigation, to providing warmth and light, to growing crops, to telling time. Yet its only been in the last one hundred years that we finally figured out how the sun workeda giant thermonuclear reaction made up of hydrogen and helium atoms.

But not knowing how the sun workedas weve only known this for a tiny slice of humanitys time on earthdidnt prevent our forefathers from using the sun. Perhaps its the same with energy healing. Someday, a few hundred years from now, we might understand the connections between meridian lines, chakras, auras, and our physical bodies, but right now, not knowing the explanation does not prevent us from using it. Its multiple uses are so magnificent that we dont have to fully understand how it works in order to reap its amazing benefits.

I founded MindvalleyAcademy.com in 2013 to bring education of this sort into the mainstream. We seek out pools of knowledge that we know are truly important to healthy, happy human lives but which have not yet been included in mainstream education. Deborah is one of our most gifted teachers, and were honored to have published some of her online courses. Her programs have proven extremely popular as they help the deep need so many have of connecting to Spirit and healing from the inside out.

Now Deborah has written this exciting workbook on energy healing, which sets the stage for readers to embrace their inner healer and eventually to be part of the growing wave of consciousness that aims to heal not only ourselves but also the planet.
