The Secret

Natural forces within us are the true healers of disease.

I wanted to die. I was 16 years old and hurt so much that I prayed to be free from the pain. It happened after surgery on my ovary. My malfunctioning liver gave out. There was nothing I could do.

I saw only yellow light. My blood was so bad, I went temporarily blind, vomited constantly, and couldnt sit up. Every wave of regurgitation pulled on my freshly cut stomach muscles and organs. Acid burned my throat where tubes from the surgery had agitated it. Because I wasnt able to move as I normally would after surgery, some of my organs grew together.

My ill health started when I was just a baby. I was sick most of my childhood. There were years I missed over 80% of school. Every year it seemed that I faced some new health issue. I wasnt allowed to do PE classes, carry my schoolbooks, or do anything that would tire me.

Today I love my body with every flaw that it has. And my body loves me! I rarely ever catch a cold. The issues that the doctors insisted and believed I would have forever; gone.

I feel I am at a healthy body weight. I love all I eat. Most days, I love to exercise. Besides my pregnancy and giving birth to my daughter, I have sought a doctor's help twice in the past 15 years.

Over the years I found an amazing connection between my body and my mind. I believe that what I do is replicable and anyone can achieve the results that I did. I consider my mind to be living in a symbiotic relationship with my body. One cannot survive without the other. I treat my body as a different entity from my mind.

It's taken me about 25 years to slowly refine the process that I am offering you. I will not tell you if you should eat breakfast or take cycling classes. You will find the answers if you listen to the way your body talks. I will teach you the language and how to create a real relationship and connection with your body.

The hard times of my life turned me into an avid reader and researcher. They allowed me to find solutions and to share them with you now.

Do you ever wonder what your life would be like if you had the body of your dreams without stressing over it? To be healthy and at your ideal body weight? Not having to suffer through exercise you don't like or being on the diet that you can't wait to end?

The human body is absolutely amazing. It can self-heal almost any sickness and stay at a happy body weight. It can even tell you how to get there.

Your body has been programmed for millions of years. Now you need to connect with it to become aware of what it needs. You will learn that communicating is an easy process. You will know and crave food that is best for your body, which exercise or diet is ideal, and joyful for you, and how to stay healthy during times when you don't have a chance to be your bodys best buddy.

Since you are reading this book, the chances are that you are unhappy in some way with your body. If that's true, take a moment and ask this important question. Why? Why I am not in the shape I wish?

Unless your answer has to do with some major injury, I think that your body-mind connection isn't working to its potential. Doctors and scientists claim that 90% of all diseases are caused by stress, therefore by your mind. What you eat does matter and your body does require some movement, but you will be surprised how little your body really needs when given proper attention.

The weight-loss and drug industries are some of the highest profitable businesses in the world for one main reason. Their solutions rarely work for the problems. People who dont find help come back to try another diet next year, another miracle pill, or hope to stick with a new kind of exercise program. There is a small chance that they will succeed. These industries are well aware of it.

After I healed most of my problems, I worked as a personal trainer for a large gym. I put people on a diet generated by a computer. The diet was based on people's food preferences. It sounded very personal but was far from it. The whole system was based on the idea that with exercise and less calorie input than output per day, you will have your ideal body. I had a hard time putting people through that. I knew that the results would come only if my clients had enough willpower.

I placed people on a program that was designed to put them in a battle with their own bodies, something most weight-loss programs do. Even if the results came, they were not lasting. Maybe the mind won the battle, but had no chance of winning the war.

Just as you cannot control your breathing or your digestion, you cannot boss your body around. The only way to win is to become friends with your body. You have to care enough to gain your body's trust in order for it to work with you.

The solution is quite simple. Befriend your body. Get rid of the toxins stored inside and become your own best friend. From that moment on, you can have the body that you will be happy with forever. I am quite sure that if your mind and body are in harmony, you don't need this book.

You will learn to tune into your body and communicate with it. The mutual balance will empower you. Even if there is stress in your life, you can keep your body healthy and fit. In return, your body will lessen the negative impact of stress and allow you to handle it in a healthier manner. You will understand what is best for you. When this happens your body will turn into the self-healing machine it is meant to be. You will create your own simple way to stay healthy and have all the tools to make the right decisions.

When it comes to food, most people crave what sounds good or what they love to eat regardless of whether or not their body wants it. The moment you give a green light to your body cravings instead of your mind cravings, everything changes. You want what is best for you. No willpower is needed. No struggle ensues. The body balances and heals itself.
