Michael E. Allsopp (Ph.D., Gregorian University) has taught moral theology in Australia and the United States. As well as studies in Irish Theological Quarterly, Explorations, LinacreQuarterly, Chicago Studies, Hopkins Quarterly, and Month, he has co-edited with Ronald R. Burke, John Henry Newman: Theology and Reform (1992); co-edited with David A. Downes, Saving Beauty: Further Studies on G.M. Hopkins (1994); and co-edited with John J. O'Keefe, Veritatis Splendor: American Responses (1995).
Mary Jo Iozzio (Ph.D., Fordham) is the author of Self-Determination and the Moral Act: A Study of the Contributions of Odon Lottin, O.S.B. (1995), as well as reviews and articles on health care ethics in Heythrop Journal, and Linacre Quarterly. A specialist on virtue ethics, and decision making in health care, she is Assistant Professor, Department of Theology & Philosophy, Barry University, Miami Shores.
B. Andrew Lustig (Ph.D., Virginia), Academic Director and Research Fellow in Theological Ethics, Institute of Religion, Texas Medical Center, Houston, is the co-author or editor of eight books on medical ethics, including Duties to Others (1994). He also co-edits Christian Bioethics, and edits Bioethics Yearbook (Kluwer Academic Press).
Gerard Magill (Ph.D., Edinburgh), Chair of the Department of Health Care Ethics and Director of the Inter-Disciplinary Ph.D. Program in Health Care Ethics at the Center for Health Care Ethics, St. Louis University, has edited Discourse and Context: An Interdisciplinary Study (1993), Personality and Belief: Interdisciplinary Essays (1994), co-edited with M. Hoff, Values and Public Life: An Interdisciplinary Investigation (1995), and co-edited with R. Randall Rainey, Abortion and Public Policy: An Interdisciplinary Investigation (1996), as well as essays in Theological Studies, Heythrop Journal, and Journal of Business Ethics.

Edward van Merrienboer, O.P. (D.Min., Eden), was an Assistant General of the Dominican Order from 1983 to 1992. An educational consultant for NCEA, he chairs the Department of Theology & Philosophy at Barry University. He has lectured and written extensively on Catholic social teaching, sexual education, and pedagogy.
Robert Nugent is a priest of the Society of the Divine Savior. Since 1971 he has been engaged in ministry with gay and lesbian Catholics and their families. With Jeannine Gramick, he has co- edited
