Advanced Praise
Love or hate Donald Trump, hes accomplished the impossible against forces that seem insurmountable. And hes done it using unconventional methods and his outrageous personality. Josi and Ablow have found important life lessons within Trumps ups and downs. They dissect with humor and precision what they view as the Donalds secrets to success in a way meant to allow each of us feel empowered, no matter our flaws or challenges.
- S HARYL A TTKISSON , Emmy award winning investigative journalist & New York Times bestselling author
I dont read many self-help books, but several years ago I bought and read a book on leadership by Lee Iacocca. It was a valuable read, but TRUMP YOUR LIFE by Christian Josi and Dr. Keith Ablow is even better. The authors have carefully studied President Donald Trump, and culled from his enormously successful career 25 ways each of us realistically can take hold of our lives and significantly enhance our ability to prevail over adversity and achieve our loftiest goals.

Foreword
The Trump I Know
By Roger Stone
I have known the president since 1979 when I first approached him about being on Governor Ronald Reagans finance committee in the California governors successful run for president.
I first urged him to run for president in 1988, an idea that he found intriguing, amusing, and wildly premature. In 2000, I tried again, although this time I was joined by the late Ross Perot and then Governor of Minnesota Jesse Ventura. Trump considered it, but ultimately, he determined that a third-party run as the Reform Party candidate wasnt viable, and the time was still not right. His critics said his exploration of a presidential bid was just a publicity stunt. I saw something else. I saw a shrewd businessman biding his time. Trump would only run when he saw a clear path to victory.
I harken back to an interview Trump did with Oprah in the late nineties. What about you, Donald, would you ever run for public office? she asked. Would you ever run for president?
No, I dont think so, the billionaire said. Unless things get so bad that I have no choice. That time came in 2016 when the two-party duopoly of elites, who have run America into the ground, underestimated Trumps determination, stamina, and drive to winand to make America great, again.
Like Reagan, Trump is a big-picture man with little patience for bureaucrats or bureaucracy. He understands that lower taxes and less regulation foster a business climate, which creates jobs. (Yes, Barack, that is the magic wand Trump was wielding.) He understands you deal with adversaries from a position of strength, but you should never be afraid to talk if it can lead to peace. He knows when to make a deal... and when to walk away from the table.
It is Trumps audacity, courage, bravado, and uncanny understanding of average Americans that allowed him to pull off the most improbable victory in American presidential history. There are no handlers or managersno Karl Rovesin Trumpland. What you see is what you get. There is no artifice. Trump is genuine, authentic, and doggedly stubborn when he is fixed on a goalin this case, saving America from the ravages of globalism and decline.
To say Trump is his own man who marches to his own drummer is an understatement. No one tells Donald Trump what to say, what to do, when to start a war, or when to end one. Hes an original, a force of nature, a giant who (sorry, failing New York Times ) will already go down in history as one of our countrys greatest presidents.
Trump may be president, but he will never be a politician. Hes fundamentally a businessman who became the head of a movementthe type of leader the founders of this nation envisioned. Like all good business people, he abhors waste. The difference is that now hes looking for a good deal for the taxpayers rather than himself.
Everything the smug elites told us about what a Trump Presidency would be like was wrong. The stock market did not crash; in fact, the S&P hit an all-time high. The economy did not crash; instead, we have record low unemployment combined with unprecedented wage growth. Minority unemployment? All-time low. Instead of World War III, Donald Trump got our most bitter adversaries to the bargaining table. At the same time, the president has set out to redress the drug law excesses of the Clintons and Joe Biden. Instead of harsh mandatory penalties for the first-time, nonviolent crime of drug possession, those afflicted are actually getting a second chance.
In Trumps world, there is nothing worse than weakness and being taken advantage of. It is his rage about America being the worlds patsy that propelled the president to leave a luxe lifestyle in order to be abused and vilified by CNN and the Washington Post on a daily basis while he helms the greatest economic comeback in U.S. history.
Donald Trumps name has been synonymous with quality, victory, and success for four decades. He serves the American people at great cost to himself, his family, and his business. And he does it with a smile and enduring optimism.
As one who has seen our 45th president up close for a long time, I saw the qualities of independence, charisma, and strength earlier than most. I knew he had the vision and strength to stop our nations descent into oblivion. When people asked me if he could really beat Hillary Clinton, I always said he was the only candidate who could beat her.
Ronald Reagan, in his own memoir, wrote of meeting Donald Trump and feeling like he was the one shaking hands with a president. Can you imagine?
Above all, Trump is bold, confident, resilient, and tenacious. Here, Dr. Keith Ablow and Christian Josi have distilled the important life lessons from our chief executive, lessons that have endured boom, bust, revival and now, the pinnacle of public service.
