If your days feel more life-draining than life-giving, let Susie Larson show you how to reclaim the joyful, fruitful life God wants for you.

Mark Batterson , bestselling author and lead pastor of National Community Church

Susie really opened my eyes to look for Gods best when deciding where I spend my time. He doesnt give up on us because we made mistakes. He has a design and purpose to fulfill, and the enemy would love nothing more than to take us out with exhaustion and wasted time.

Caroline Barnett , co-pastor of The Dream Center and author of Willing to Walk on Water

Saying yes to God is the most important decision you can make, but it shouldnt stop there. After beginning a relationship with Christ, we must constantly say yes to His influence, wisdom, and power in our lives. Your Sacred Yes will empower and equip you to say yes to a life of freedom, fulfillment, and significance. Say yes!

Craig Groeschel , senior pastor of LifeChurch.tv and author of From This Day Forward

Challenging us to carefully consider our sacred responsibilities, Susie Larson uses her trademark transparent stories to compel us to rest more and to make the difficult decisions that will prioritize our relationship with God. If you find yourself in the rat race of life, Your Sacred Yes will give you the courage to slow down and say yes to the right things.

Pastor Nate and Jodi Ruch , Emmanuel Christian Center

This is such a timely book for all of us. I am grateful that Susie said yes to writing these sacred truths. This book will strengthen and empower all of us to follow the voice of God with more boldness and clarity.

Brady Boyd , pastor of New Life Church and author of Addicted to Busy

To my husband, Kevin

Your constant and continual love and strength have provided me grace and space to give my full yes to God. Thank you, honey. Next to Jesus, youre my very best thing. Ill love you forever.

To my Savior, Jesus
Where would I be without Your love?

After walking with You all these years,
I finally understand that

Youre far kinder than I can fathom
and more powerful than I can imagine.

Ill love and follow You forever.

Foreword

Susie Larson had me from the first paragraph of this book! By the end of the first page, she had already succeeded in making me want to become a different person who drinks from a deeper and quieter well. As one who reads dozens of books a year, I cant tell you how unusual this is for me, which is why I begged Susie early on to rework this book to include addressing men. In its early incarnation, Your Sacred Yes addressed wives, mothers, sisters, and daughters; I pleaded with Susie that husbands, fathers, brothers, and sons needed to hear this searing truth as much as any woman alive. If youre a man who is reading this, youre very welcome!

As an ardent fan of the Christian classics, Ive been challenged by my brothers and sisters in the Eastern Orthodox tradition who define lust radically differently than do modern evangelicals. If you say the word lust in a North American church today, 99.9 percent of the congregation will assume youre talking about sexual desire of some sort. In the Eastern classics, sex isnt the most destructive or pervasive lustthe fear of man and the desire for praise and approval is.

Ive been convicted by this truth, but Susie helped me see this in a contemporary context that empowered me in a way I hadnt quite experienced before. She took me by the hand, peeled back the layers of my pride and approval lust, and gently told me, You dont have to stay there. Theres another placea better placeout of which you can live more freely, more productively, more joyfully. Perhaps because of my own book titles, Susies line I refuse the rat race because God has called me to the sacred race hit me as hard (in a good way) as anything Ive ever read.
