I WROTE YOU A LETTER!
Hello!
My name is Trillia. I have children who are about your age. They read the book you are holding, and they liked it. So, I thought Id share it with you too! Thank you for choosing to read Creative God, Colorful Us. I am so excited about all the things we will discover.
Growing up, I had many questions about the world and all the people that filled the earth. I wondered who made us. I wondered why people didnt always get along. I used to wish that there would be peace on the earth but couldnt figure out why it didnt happen. Then I started reading the Bible, and so much started to make sense to me.
The Bible is Gods Word. It is used for helping people see right from wrong. Most of all, the Bible is where God chose to teach us about Himself (2 Timothy 3:1617). It is the most important book on the earth. We will be guided by the Bible to learn what God has told us about Himself and people.
In this book, we will answer questions like the ones I had as a kid and the same ones you might have now. I dont want to spoil it by sharing the answers yet. But if you look at the page labeled CONTENTS, you can see all that we will explore togetherideas like: the image of God, the fall, the Good News, and more. Dont worry if you dont know what any of those ideas are now. You will as you keep reading.
If you run into a word you dont know, look at the HELPFUL WORDS TO KNOW in the back of the book. Thats where you will find definitions of the ORANGE words throughout the book.
At the end of each chapter, there are a few questions to help you think about what youve read. Those questions are labeled WHAT DO YOU THINK? Feel free to write out your answers and share them with a friend or guardian. You can make it fun and answer the questions in a special journal. There are other fun features throughout the book, including thought bubbles,
