A generation of students and pastors will treasure this highly useful and user-friendly distillation of Moiss Silvas excellent New International Dictionary of New Testament Theology and Exegesis. Scholars may still want the four-volume original, but even many of them may prefer Beethams thoughtful condensation for everything except the most technical work. There is nothing really comparable to Silvas work for its combination of linguistic savvy and theological acumen. All of that passes into this abridgement undiminished; the brevity enhances rather than dims the luster of the original.
