Endorsements:
In a field that can be so confusing, so complex, Richard Dolan has taken his many years of thinking about UFOs and written a completely fresh overview of the entire subject. . . . This is an ambitious work that truly ties the many different aspects of the subject together. Its rare to find something like this, especially considering the care and thoroughness that went into it.
-- From the Foreword by George Noory, host of Coast to Coast AM.
As a follow-up to his previous books exploring the relationship between UFOs and the National Security State, historian Richard Dolan widens his perspective to explore all aspects of this provocative phenomenon. In this role, he takes us on a journey that brings to life the subtlety and depth of this rich subject, a truly captivating read.
--H. E. Puthoff, Ph.D., Director, Institute for Advanced Studies at Austin
UFOs For the 21st Century Mind represents a new kind of book one that clearly and intelligently addresses literally every aspect and implication of the most maligned, misunderstood and compelling subject in human history. Richard Dolans newest work is perfect reading for serious students of ufology as well as the absolute beginner. Inspired, particularly well written, and the product of a first class mind for this or any other century.
--Peter Robbins, coauthor of the British bestseller, Left At East Gate: A First-Hand Account of the Rendlesham Forest UFO Incident, Its Cover-up and Investigation
This is an invaluable treatment of the known facets and seemingly endless implications regarding UFOs, with a much-appreciated focus on the human experience. A job well done, Richard.
-- Sam Maranto, Investigative Researcher

Acknowledgments

Writing this book has been an adventure for me, and there have been a number of people who have helped me with their encouragement, insights, research support, and manuscript review.

I would like to thank my friend Kelly Weary, who in 2011 invited me to prepare an Introduction to Ufology course for the online International Metaphysical University. The twelve lectures I created for that program formed the foundation for this book, and Kelly was there throughout the creation of that lecture series, providing encouragement and much helpful conversation throughout.

Mike Clelland, Race Hobbes, Chase Kloetzke, Sam Maranto, Peter Robbins, and Jennifer Stein. They are all my trusted friends, confidants, and professional colleagues. In addition to the many stimulating conversations I have had with each of them about all matters ufological, they were careful readers of this manuscript, whether in full or part, often providing helpful ideas for inclusion in this book.

The late James Allen. During the summer of 2013, James and I had several long conversations about the science of UFO propulsion and related matters. During that time, in addition to the valuable research tips he provided, we developed a genuine friendship. His unexpected death later that year was heartbreaking to me, and I shall miss him.

My Rochester friends, Jason Mombert and Chuck Harrison, who listened to me so often discussing the progress of this book, and who provided much needed companionship during a tumultuous year.

Dr. Hal Puthoff, of the Institute for Advanced Study at Austin, who read this manuscript carefully and, as always, provided me with invaluable commentary.

Catherine Austin Fitts, who carefully read over key passages concerning black budget and financial corruption issues, and offered several important suggestions which I incorporated into the text.

George Noory, host of Coast to Coast AM , who graciously offered to write the Foreword to this book, and for which I will always be thankful. I also appreciate the support of Georges producer, my good friend Tom Danheiser.

I was very fortunate to have a number of careful editors and proofreaders of this book. Foremost among these were Holly Kennedy, Anne Meisingset, Dr. Joe Buchman, and Debra Dalock. It is impossible to overstate how much I owe these people. Each of them looked over my manuscript carefully, each of them provided unique insights, commentary, suggestions, and corrections. In particular, I owe a special thanks to Joe and Debbie, who during the final stages of the manuscript attended their task with a near fanatical attention to detail and an unerring eye for the interests of the reader. Their impeccable proofreading, fact-checking, and consultation made this a measurably better book.
