I Married a Mysticone womans leap of faith to discover a love that never ends. It was a surprise to gutsy, Kirsten Buxton when Jesus appeared to her, announcing he would be her guide. At twenty-seven years of age, a serious bike accident had left her physically, psychologically, and emotionally devastated, with no control over her life. Having had no previous relationship with Jesus, she began studying A Course in Miracles, and developing trust in the Spirit within. Miraculously, world-renowned teacher of A Course in Miracles, David Hoffmeister, visited her hometown. Jesus told Kirsten to trust this man completely in order to experience a relationship like no other. Her courageous acceptance of this guidance opened her heart and mind in ways she never could have imagined. Throughout this diary of radical self-inquiry, Kirsten candidly exposes her fears, projections, and private thoughts whilst on an epic adventure of holy relationship with a tirelessly happy mystic! A must read for those seeking to intimately apply non-dual spiritual teachings in every aspect of daily experience: in the bedroom, the bathroom, and even the supermarket. This profound and often humorous account is literally a how-to guide for awakening.

Foreword

Deep inside, everyone longs for union, connection, and love. The calling of the heart is for continuity, and an abiding feeling of closeness. The journey to God is the reawakening of the soul, and the sojourn from human love to the oneness of heaven. With God all things are possible, and it is a delight to watch a little willingness given to the spirit transform the mind and result in a forgiven world.

Kirsten and I came together to experience a love that never ends. Our relationship and marriage was given over to the spirit as a means of spiritual awakening, through forgiveness. This holy relationship was our means of turning inward, releasing all thoughts of the past, and all ambitions for the future, to bask content in the present moment. Kirsten recorded the narrative of our lives as a rare glimpse of an accelerated, and often intense, pathway to a love not of this world.

It is the prayer of my heart that this story will bless those who yearn for forgiveness and the remembrance of God's Love. May our experiences speed you along the way that is given, that you may embrace the glad tidings of forgiveness, and experience true love and joy. Our song of gratitude to Jesus and the Holy Spirit is expressed through these pagestouched by the One Who created us whole and complete in love.

Forever in love,

David Hoffmeister

Born and raised in rural New Zealand, and highly independent from the moment she could walk, Kirsten assumed responsibility for saving the world at a young age. At thirteen, after years as an environmental activist, Kirsten felt depressed and unable to fix or change the world. She gave up and turned to drugs and alcohol as a way to cope.

Kirsten dropped out of school and rebelled, but this didnt bring her the freedom she was seeking. Later, she turned towards a career in education in the hope of finding a solution there.

As a young adult, Kirsten felt a calling that she couldn't put into words. She knew that settling down and leading a normal life would not be enough for her, and she bought a one-way ticket to Europe. Backpacking through many countries where she didnt speak the language forced her to rely solely on her intuition as her guide. This fulfilled something within her that she had longed for, and practicing yoga and dance opened her mind to a whole new world of spirituality.

After years of these transformative experiences living abroad, the time came when Kirsten reluctantly returned to New Zealand. Afraid that her expansion could come to a halt, disillusionment and restlessness soon set in. She filled each moment with activity; a new career, friends, mountain biking, and skiing.

Two years later, Kirsten was inwardly exhausted, yet felt unable to stop. She prayed for help. Alone in the forest she fell from her mountain bike, and life as she knew it came to an end. She was twenty-seven years old. The accident resulted in two broken wrists and a brain injury, chronic fatigue, and migraines. She could no longer manage her own life.

Kirstens accident launched her on a journey of healing through a range of modalities, culminating in a devoted meditation practice of up to eight hours a day. She fell in love with the profound peace that she experienced during meditation, and she soon knew that this presence of peace was the only thing she truly wanted. Her spiritual journey had begun in earnest.

During meditation Jesus unexpectedly appeared to Kirsten saying, From now on, I will be your guide. He said that if she continued to do things her way, she would not heal. However, old habits die hard, and the old pattern of pushing herself resulted in another serious sporting accident. This hit her hard psychologically as she knew she was in danger of killing herself. She fell to her knees and cried out for help. What followed was a revelatory experiencean experience of such intense Divine Love that she immediately gave her life over to God.

Shortly afterwards, Kirsten was given the book A Course in Miracles (ACIM). Upon opening the book and reading, ... you have no control over the world you made" she had an epiphanyshe had always tried to manage her life and her world! T-12.III.9 She knew immediately that this book was the answer to the prayer of her heart, and that she would need to relinquish all control over her life in order to heal.

Kirsten found studying A Course in Miracles to be pure nourishment for her soul. She felt as though Jesus had written each daily Workbook Lesson just for heras if the ink was still wet on the page. Her life now took on a profound sense of purpose that was rooted in the present moment, and she experienced for the first time that she was not dependent on the world for her happiness.

Kirsten had many questions about the nature of life, love, relationships, and truth, and she knew that her work with the Course would reveal the answers. She had no idea what the future held, but for the first time in her life she wasn't afraid of the unknown. What came next was beyond anything Kirsten could have ever imagined!
