I didnt know I had so many smart friends until I asked them to edit my book. Each of themcompetent in their own fieldsread through and added suggestions. They wouldnt let me get away with any careless or unresearched remarks. Among those who helped are Andy Briesmeister, Carol Keir, Ted and Paula Mangini, Leon Kemp, Delores Topliff, John Garfield, Sarah Swan, Matthew Cook, and Ian Strader. James Bryson deserves special mention as he has been my writing coach through many projects such as this. Thanks to all of you.
The staff of Destiny Image have helped tremendously. Johnathan I. Nori and Tracy Shuman demonstrated remarkable patience with me as they tried to improve this baby of which I was over protective. God bless you and your ministry.
Even though so many people have added their insights and corrections, remaining errors, along with the basic position of this book, are my own responsibility.
E NDORSEMENTS
Christianity Unshackled, written by my friend Harold Eberle, is a refreshing read. To anyone searching for truth in the context of how history shapes our thinking today, this book is for you! I highly recommend this informative and inspiring book to gain a biblical worldview. Thanks, Harold, for this vital contribution to the Kingdom of God in our day.

Harold Eberle, more than anyone else I know of, has the ability to explain profound areas of theology, philosophy, history, and apologetics in straightforward, uncomplicated, and understandable language. Christianity Unshackled is a history-changing book. If Church leaders across the board would take the time to examine Eberles thoughts about worldview, digest them, and implement them in real life, the Church as we know it could be radically reformed!

I have known Harold for over 15 years, and he has always strongly challenged my mind. In Christianity Unshackled he dismantles an enormous tangle of thought patterns that are embedded in the modern Church but have nothing to do with Jesus and the heart of God. Many things look good, but we know that there is something wrong. Harold brings those things to light. He makes you think in ways that many believers are afraid of because it takes away their sense of security.
This book is about maturity, freedom, and life. In the end it reveals peace, joy, and righteousness. We know that there is nothing new under the sun, but something can be new for us in a specific moment and timewe call it revelation. This book offers that. It takes away obstacles and sets people free to live a victorious lifestyle in the Kingdom of God.

I have worked with Harold to establish 12 Bible school leadership training centers in Central and Eastern Africa. We have imparted to thousands of leaders in Africa and other parts of the world. Ive been blessed to have read many of Harolds books and I am fully persuaded that Christianity Unshackled is a must-read for every Christian leader.
In an age when Western thought has infiltrated the Church, this is a book in time to help Church leaders and Christians identify the truths that do not erode the Gospel of its purity and power. Through reading Christianity Unshackled, you will be firmly grounded in truth so as not to be tossed back and forth by the winds of doctrinal teachings that are riddled with the wisdom and knowledge of this age.
I recommend and highly endorse Christianity Unshackled as a revelation for this hour and an inspirational work of the Holy Spirit that will bring enlightenment, empowerment, and sanctity to the truths of the Word of God.
Harolds previous book, Victorious Eschatology, has brought tremendous light on what the Church ought to be expecting in these last days. Now Christianity Unshackled offers wisdom on how to bring forth the victory through the revelation and manifestation of the truths of the unadulterated Word of God.

Harold Eberle is an amazing optimist. In this book he puts forth an optimistic worldview that he defends from the Bible. He is amazingly able to synthesize a lot of important material and put it in clear and simple English. There is much to gain and much challenge to received dogma. Yet his book is refreshing in its challenge. Much of the book restores us to a more Hebraic (might I say, Jewish) rooted understanding of God and the world. This is a worthy read that challenges both those who agree and those who do not to clarify their thinking and prove it is really biblical!

F OREWORD
F OR CENTURIES GOD has been restoring the Church to the place of authority and power that we read of in the Book of Acts. Practices and truths that were lost after the first 100 years are still being restored. These elements of Kingdom lifestyle are being brought back to the forefront through the Holy Spirits transforming work. A simple study of Church history will bear this out: each movement helps to restore doctrine and its corresponding experience that was thought to exist only in history.
