Some leaders push me. Some inspire me. Some challenge me. But Dino Rizzo is a leader who messed me upin the best sort of way. And thats what he is about to do to you.

For several years Id heard about this radically generous, utterly selfless, kingdom-minded Cajun from the deep woods of Louisiana. Most LSU fans are a bit different anyway. (Sorry Tigers.) But Dino is off-the-charts different!

My first extended time with Dino and his Healing Place Church family was when I was in Baton Rouge touring the churchs campuses. Within moments of our planes landing, Dino proudly showed us around his Dream Center campus. His eyes clearly revealed his heart. One moment, they bounced with passion as he explained how the people of his church were making a difference helping those who had much less than they did. The next moment, his eyes filled with tears as he described in detail the single mom with three children who had been abused for years. Every person we met, Dino hugged, high-fived, and bragged on. Ive rarely seen more love from a pastor for his people.
