This book is dedicated to the late Elizabeth St. George, author, who was our initiator, mentor, and guiding light in the darkness. Spiritually, she guided our feet and helped us recognize, and act upon, every choice we must make in order that we see the signs leading to where the powerful forces of the original creator intended for us, and in doing so, serve him perfectly as we were created to do. Through her we found the Pathways to the Neters.

    Acknowledgments

I thank my co-author and best friend Jan for helping tackle a most difficult and serious piece of work. Her material added that extra quality of magick and beauty.

I thank too my partner Alain Leroy for helping with the research for the epigraphs of the Egyptian gods. Stephen Quirke, B.A., Ph.D., Professor in Egyptology, Curator of the Petrie Museum, for checking and advising on the hieroglyphs used throughout the book. Alan Richardson, friend and fellow accomplice in the arts magickal, for always being there when I needed a sounding board regarding my work, and Judy Hall for not just giving her appraisal on Pathworking with the Egyptian Gods , but her comfort and support at a time when I was very low. She helped get me through an extremely difficult time in my life. A special thanks to Maxine Sanders, who taught me the art of visualisation; without this important ingredient, there would be no magick.

    Judith Page

All love and thanks to the guiding force behind Ptah. May this work be a suitable offering, Great One. I thank my partner David Almond for his considerable support and encouragement, especially where this book was concerned. I also thank my co-author and friend Judith for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to put down on paper words of devotion to the Neters that were locked in my heart. Last but not least, humble thanks to Anpu for initiating a journey many, many years ago which has reunited me with trusted teachers and companions of the magickal arts.

The plain fact is, most of the pathworkings that are published these days are just short stories written by those who have neither real knowledge nor vital experience, and who substitute purple prose for magickal insight, hoping that no one will notice. With rare exceptions they are sorry and literally spiritless tomes that blight the bookshelves in increasing numbers.

Pathworking with the Egyptian Gods , however, could not be further removed from this genre, and is clearly the work of many lifetimes. Judith Page and Jan Malique have created a powerful and practical book in which you can approach the major deities of ancient Egypt on differing levels: practical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual. The evocations are unusual, and even on the first reading you are left in no doubt that these two women really have trod those paths, and made contact with the gods and goddesses of Egypt. These are not mere pictures in the head that they describe, but eternal energies, ever-becoming. The analyses of such figures as Osiris and Set are unexpected, forcing you to revise old opinions, thereby reenergising these archetypes in your own psyche.

Be warned: this book will give you powerful, beautiful, and occasionally disturbing dreamsdisturbing because you will wake in the morning with the thought: that was real . It will take you beyond time and into the heart of ancient Egypt in a way that physical travel never could.

The art of pathworking even for the beginner takes no time to master and - photo 8

The art of pathworking even for the beginner takes no time to master, and almost everyone has a result right from the beginning. Pathworking is one of the most powerful magickal tools we have for aligning ourselves with the energies of the deities, and travelling to the inner worlds of the ancient gods, which are real, and so too are the changes that occur there.

Not only will this book be an aid to the advanced practitioner, but it will also be a valuable learning tool for those who are just beginning to practise pathworking.

True, there are so many books on ancient Egypt, initiation, and magick that the reader is spoilt for choice. This book not only combines all three, but also brings the reader in touch with the ancient gods of Egypt by means of a path to meet, learn, and work with them.
