To my beloved wife, Vicki, of almost forty years. If it hadnt been for your thinking about me and buying me a book that radically changed my life, this one would never have happened. Your unwavering commitment and love could only be from heaven above.

CONTENTS

INTRODUCTION

I t was a beautiful year back in the mid-90s when Vicki, my beautiful wife of now thirty-nine years, bought me a book that radically changed my life. We had been attending a small church in Buckley, Washington, and I decided I needed a break from church. I had been working a full-time job plus a part-time job to make ends meet. Additionally, I was teaching at the church and serving on the elder board as well. I decided to take a year off and not go anywhere to church, just rest.

During that year off, Vicki, who was passionate about birds, was looking for some good bird books at a bookstore. She knew I was equally passionate about the Bible and my Jewish roots, as I am Jewish on my fathers side. We have our ancestry going back to the 1600s. Our last name wasnt always Biltz, but used to be Hirsch. My great, great, great grandfather changed his name from Hirsch to Biltz. Our ancestral town was Mutzig, France. I have Biltz relatives who died in the Holocaust and are listed in Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum in Israel.

While browsing, Vicki spied a book by Moshe Braun, called The Jewish Holy Days: Their Spiritual Significance, and she bought it for me.

I had gone to Bible college in Wichita back in the 70s and even studied the feasts of the Lord. The problem is, my training was totally from a replacement-theology perspective, or one that teaches that the church has replaced the Jews as recipients of Gods Old Testament promises. For the next twenty-five years I was totally involved in church, teaching, and volunteering, as well as working full-time. Now, during the time off, as I began to read this book, I saw the beauty, the humility, the insights from the Bible as never before; it just took my breath away. It was a fresh way of seeing the Bible through another perspective.

I immediately knew I had to go relearnand unlearna lot of what I had been taught. I still believed then, and do now, all the fundamental truths of Christianity, but now I see those truths in full-color 3-D rather than just black and white. The Bible became alive to me in a new way. I learned how to study the Bible from people who had three thousand years experience! Why reinvent the wheel?!

Now, understand that religion can be a lot like meat. Take chicken, for example. I know how to eat chicken: I eat the meat and throw out the bone. Sometimes you have to do the same with religion. Sure, there are bones in Judaism, but there are also a lot of bones in Christianity. Even so, I am not going to turn down a T-bone steak because theres a big bone it! I eat the good, the valuable, and throw out the rest. Of course, you have to be mature enough to have teeth before you can even start eating meat.

Many people from all different denominations tell me they are tired of only getting a spiritual diet of milk and cookies at church, and they are starving for some meat and potatoes. Their seeker-friendly churches have completely watered down the gospel and focus only on the new believers, so the more mature congregants never hear anything beyond a salvation message. Others say all their churches teach is positive thinking, with no scriptures, and the leaders just want to be life coaches, satisfied to know nothing of the Bible. They might give one Bible verseand then go on for half an hour or more about social issues. Well, my focus is the Word of God. Therefore, I have cited more than 350 scripture references in this book, as I believe you want to know more about what the Lord has to say than what I have to say. All I want to do is connect the dots between the scriptures, that you might stand in awe of what your heavenly Father wants you to see from His heart!

People who come to El Shaddai Ministries or watch for free our live streaming services from around the world all share the same testimony. These are people who have been saved for twenty years or more, yet they all say, Weve been robbed! Why havent we heard these truths before? All I can say is people dont know what they dont know. I want to expand their knowledge. I hope to do the same for you.

I am so glad you want to go on this journey with me as we unlock treasure chests full of golden insights regarding Gods calendar. Whats in store for Gods people? Whats next on His timeline of events? How do the biblical feasts relate to the future
