What is aVision Board?
A Vision Board is a collage of images ofthings you want in your life. A Vision Board represents yourdreams and is a roadmap of where you want to go or whom you want tobe. If you are like me, I have multiple Vision Boards to representvarious parts of my life. For example, I have a Vision Board forWealth, Love, and Spiritual.
You too, canexperience equally amazing things in your own life. Your ability tomanifest what you want and create the life you dream of living cantake a quantum leap forward when you create a Vision Board and putyour attention on it daily.
Here are someexamples of what you could do with your Vision Board:
1. If you'reusing your vision board for sweepstakes, your pictures will besymbolic of the prizes you want to win.
2. If you areusing your vision board for wealth, you would have pictures of whatmeans wealth to you such as money, houses, gold and/or cars.
3. A visionboard for LOVE would comprise of pictures of hearts, family, boy orgirl friend. It might be a long and far away romance and your dreamis to meet up with this person or your vision board could be adream of marrying someone
What are someof your dreams? How many dreams do you hold deep? If you do nothave any dreams, now is the time to think about some, otherwise, you are wasting your life.
One mostimportant issue with your dreams is that your dreams must berealistic and attainable. If your dreams are not realistic andattainable, then you will not achieve your dreams. You will loseall hope. Your Vision Board must have picture of realistic andattainable dreams.
Your dreams arelike your goals. Your goals/dreams must be SMART. Smartgoals is an acronym of the five steps of goal setting which are:Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Timebased.
Specific: be specific in what you want, identify the shortand long term goals both quantitative and qualitative and make sureyou put them in writing with specific time frames.
Measurable: have them so you can compare them with youractual results. You need to be able to establish if you were ableto meet the specific goals.
Achievable: set goals that you can realistically achieve, avoid being over optimistic. Set them too high and you will likelyburn out.
Realistic: make sure your goals are realistic andachievable. Don't be over specific, but make sure they are stillchallenging.
Timebased: have a deadline using a specific time frame in which toachieve your specific goals.
How to CreateYour Own Vision Board
You determinehow you want to create your own Vision Board. There is no right orwrong answer. These are your dreams that you want to enjoy so it isup to you to get your creative juices flowing. One method that Iuse is shown below. But this is your call.
So, here is therecipe for making your very own Vision Board.
Ingredients
1 x DREAM,
1 x Heaps ofimagination,
1 x pencil,
1 set ofcrayons or coloured pens,
1 x sheet ofpaper,
1 Pair ofScissors,
1 StickyTape,
Heaps of photosor pictures from magazines,
1 Cork Board orpiece of cardboard
Instructions
Step 1 -Take hold of your pencil and piece of paper. At top of page, writeon the paper your dream. Start planning your layout by putting yourphotos or pictures that you have taken from magazines and startplacing them on your paper but do not stick them on. Purpose is toget your visualisation right. I mean ensure that you are happywhere you place them on the sheet of paper.
Okay, are wehappy with our placement of our photos and pictures?
Step 2 Take your Cork Board or Piece of Cardboard. Our instructions, fromnow on, will be for using the piece of cardboard. If you are usinga cork board, you can use the follow steps but you will have tosubstitute in certain areas. Your creative juices can takeover.
Step 3 Last step was an easy step. At top of cardboard, write up yourdream in LARGE letters and make your dream stand out using thecrayons or coloured pens. Choice is yours! Underneath the dream(the ultimate DREAM), write down the year or monthwhen you are wanting to fulfil your dream (most important). This isthe ultimate date when each and every part of your dream has beenfulfilled.
Are you gettingexcited yet? Your creative juices should already be starting toflow. If not, there is a problem that needs to be addressed. Thisproblem is addressed in our Healthy, Wealthy and WiseProgram.
Step 4 Take all of your photos and pictures representing your sub-dreamsand place them on your cardboard, like you did in Step 1. Now youcan stick them on your cardboard but please leave a little spacebetween each photo or picture. Once done, underneath each pictureor photo, write down the year or month that you want this part ofyour dream to be fulfilled.
