Introduction

It is God's sincere desire to see His people well. Jesus bore all of our infirmities so that we could live a life free from sickness and disease. Therefore, I can think of no greater testimony than to tell someone that by the power of God I have been healed. Jesus, the Great Physician, has never lost a patient.

Psalm 103:1-6

Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord,

O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

In this passage of Scripture, David is speaking to his soul. He commanded it to "...bless the Lord." Commanding your soul to bless the Lord at all times is vital for your deliverance. Why is this so important? The answer is two-fold: first, because it is God's command (Psalm 66:8 ,9 ), and second, because your soulyour mind, will, and emotions will always take the path of least resistance until it has been trained to bless the Lord (Romans 12:2). Your soul will naturally go in the opposite direction of the Word of God.

For example, if the Bible says, "You are healed," your mind will say, "I'm sick." If the Word says, "You are delivered," your emotions will say, "I'll never be free." If the Word says, "You have a covenant promise of prosperity," your will will say, "I want to be poor to get closer to God."

Child of God, your soul will never, of it's own accord, agree with the Word of God. It is imperative that you recall what God has done for you in order to obtain your covenant promise of healing. Remind yourself of His covenant promises in every situation. Bless the Lord by remembering the provisions He has made for you through the Anointed One and His Anointing, Jesus!

Forget the Past

There are people who actually believe that they cannot be healed or delivered from sickness and disease, because the sins of their past are ever before them. They remember what they did wrong more than they remember God's promises of forgiveness and healing. They forget that God promises to forgive them when they sincerely repent (1 John 1:9).

If you struggle with receiving God's forgiveness, it's time to lay aside the weight of past sins and believe the Word of God once and for all (Hebrews 12:1). The Bible says God will throw your sins into the sea of forgetfulness (Micah 7:19), and cast them as far away as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12). It is time for you to do the same.

In Mark 2:9, Jesus told a paralyzed man that his sins were forgiven, then commanded him to take up his bed and walk. Do you remember what happened next? The religious folks around Him got angry and He asked, "...is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk ? " In other words, when you're healed from a physical ailment, God also heals you from sin. Even if your physical sickness is a result of sin, the love, compassion, and healing power of God is available to overcome your infirmity. God's power is not limited to soul salvation, it encompasses healing in every area of your life.

Psalm 103:3 says, God "... healeth all thy diseases...." Again in Exodus 15:26, the Word declares that God is "...the Lord that healeth thee." Now if God didn't mean He would heal all of your diseases, He would not have used the word all. Your healing is not based on whether the doctor can heal you; it's based on the Word and your covenant with God for the healing of your spirit, soul, and body.

God Wants You Healed

God is Jehovah Rophe , our "Healer." He healed people in the Old and New Testaments and He still heals today. The Bible says that Jesus has delivered unto us a better covenant with better promises (Hebrews 8:6). You see, your healing is directly related to your salvation, or your soteria , which means "prosperity, peace, wellness, completeness, health, and safety." If your sickness is something that the medical profession has not yet figured out, take heart. God has promised to heal every sickness and disease. I believe that if you expect Him to heal you, He will. Have faith in God (Mark 11:22).

The Bible reminds us in Psalm 103:4 that God has redeemed our lives from destruction. There are certain diseases that can become fatal. If you have a disease that is literally destroying you, the Word says you have been saved from destruction. God is not going to sit back and allow you to be destroyed. He has crowned your life with lovingkindness and tender mercies. When you consistently yield to the Word of God, He will begin to satisfy your life with good things, such as: health, wealth, favor , and anointing. Believe that when you speak these blessings over your life, your youth will be renewed.

If you desire healing, take God's medicine. In the same way you open a bottle of pills, open your Bible, and allow the Word of God to feed your faith, renew your mind, refresh your spirit, and heal your body.

Proverbs 4:20-22

My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

He promises that the Word will bring health to all your flesh. God truly wants you to be healthy, just as He wants your soul to prosper (3 John 2). However, don't limit God to only prospering you financially. Prosperity is more than money. It's being in control of every situation and circumstance in your life. That's why health prosperity is based on soul prosperity. Whatever you have in your soul, will either benefit you or lead you to destruction. John said in 3 John 2,

"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth ." Therefore, it is the will of the Father that you are in excellent health.

Whatever you do, Child of God, don't allow yourself to believe that sickness and disease is God's way of teaching you a lesson or getting your attention. Thats a lie straight from the pit of hell! That is not God's way. He never has anything to do with putting sickness, disease, or illness on you. His job is to heal you to the extent of your faith.

If you are suffering with an illness right now, you may be asking yourself, "If it's not His will, then why did He let this happen?" Well, let's think about that.

Don't you think God would be defeating His purpose to heal and make you whole if He made you sick? What would that prove? God is not the author of sickness and disease; He is the healer of sickness and disease. Remember the Scripture in Matthew 12:25 that says a "...house divided against itself shall not stand...." Why would God go against His own Word? It just doesn't make sense. God is on your side where health and healing are concerned. You can be sure of that.

Follow God's Instructions

Many people die before their time. Most fail to finish their course and enjoy the benefits of a long life. When they met Jesus, He probably reminded them that His provision for their deliverance was available, but they wouldn't accept it. As a result, they closed their hearts to the very thing that could have healed them.

I am amazed at the number of people who are unwilling to do what God has instructed them to do in order to live. Some of them actually think it's time for them to die and that God is calling them home. Don't misunderstand me. According to Ecclesiastes 3:2 and Hebrews 9:27, there is an appointed time to die. However, the vast majority of people never live long enough to fulfill God's purpose and plan for their lives.
