Is it possible to actually slow down the aging process? Health educator and medical intuitive Caroline Sutherland says yes; and when you look at this vital, energetic woman whos in her mid-60s, you can tell she has a few secrets that are worth sharing.

This is a book that certainly comes along at the right time: With much of the population moving into retirement age, and billions of dollars being spent annually on vitamins and anti-aging therapies, men and women are eagerly seeking healthy approaches during their later years.
Men and women are often wary about what might befall them as the numbers tick away. Fortunately, Caroline has answers for the chronic degenerative breakdown that leads to mobility issues, decrease in hearing and vision, osteoporosis, and arthritisnot to mention memory loss.
With her expert wisdom and sparkling sense of humor, Caroline covers the four components of a vibrant-aging program, showing in the process that the body has a phenomenal capacity to repair.

You, dear reader, have no idea how blessed you are to have this book in your hands. I longed for something just like it when I entered menopause 30 years agoa guide that would give me precise details on how to maintain my health and have vibrant energy as I grew older, as well as giving me options so that I could help create my own optimal program.

Ive been a Caroline Sutherland fan ever since the first moment I met her in the 1990s. In fact, she fulfilled a dream of mine. At our first meeting, Caroline looked at me, clearly saw my deficiencies and nutritional needs, and on the spot designed a special food plan for my particular body. I called it the You Diet as opposed to the Cookie-Cutter Diet, or one size for everyone. I felt understood for the first time.

Like many people, over the years I tried all the sys-tems: raw food, macrobiotic, vegetarian, fruitarian, deny yourself this, deny yourself that, only eat this one item. I followed each one for a period of time and never felt my best. I certainly did not fit in to those one size fits all regimens.

I had long been aware that most diet or nutrition books were written by people who had physical problems and discovered a way to heal their own bodies. They then wrote volumes that said, in effect, Everyone has to follow these rules in order to get well or thin. Well, every body is not the same as every other body on the planet. We are all individuals, so one food plan cannot work for every person.

Caroline Sutherlands first book, The Body Knows: How to Tune In to Your Body and Improve Your Health, has been invaluable to thousands of men and women, including myself. However, as we age, we have special requirements for keeping ourselves in tip-top shape. Society as a whole has never before had such a large aging population, nor have we been confronted with the enormous amounts of junk and processed foods available to us.

Wheat, dairy, and sugarespecially high-fructose corn syrupseem to be everywhere and in everything we consume. Were now in the middle of a national experiment in mainlining glucose. Our bodies arent meant to handle this onslaught and are breaking down at such a rapid rate that medicine has had to learn how to keep alive those whom the Western diet has made so sick.
