Rachel Anderson is an in-house paralegal at Natixis Investment Managers. She was previously a paralegal at software company Beamery, and at Algomi, a fin-tech company that provides cloud-based technology to bond market participants and where she worked alongside contributor Stuart Smith. Prior to working as a paralegal, Rachel read law (LLB) at the University of Manchester, where she developed a particular interest in commercial and intellectual property law.

Tim Astley is a partner in the Moorcrofts technology department. He is a solicitor with postgraduate qualifications from both Strathclyde University and Queen Mary, University of London in technology and communications law. He has worked on private, public and regulated sector transactions. He has extensive cloud computing contract experience, and has negotiated high-value complex agreements in many jurisdictions around the world. His practice involves providing specialist advice on data protection and open source compliance.

Nicola Cordell is a specialist occupational physician, researcher and educator, passionate about developing further understanding of employee health. She is the managing director of a social enterprise, Cordell Health Ltd. The organisation provides workplace health and wellbeing services, such as specialist advice on health and safety and employment issues relating to health across sectors, including the science and technology sector. In her education role, she develops training, in partnership with other professional groups including legal, IT and accountancy specialists, that is delivered to organisations and occupational health professionals, ensuring that advances in the knowledge base in this area are widely known.

Sam De Silva FBCS, CITP is a partner at CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP and specialises in complex and strategic IT and telecommunication projects. Sam is the Law Societys representative on the European Commissions Expert Group on Cloud Computing Contracts. Sam was elected to the Trustee Board of BCS in 2019 and has been on the Council of BCS since 2016 (vice-chair 20162017). In October 2020 Sam was elected as chair of BCS Law Specialist Group. Sam has also recently been appointed as the inaugural chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Board of the Society of Computers and Law.
