I am sure you hear this a million times, but, I just wanted to tell you that I credit your wisdom with my first successful triathlon completion.

I am 42, mom to 2, and NOT an athlete. I had been following a loose plan I got off the internet, but switched to yours when I got the book. I loved all of your advice, and the manner in which you write it all, it definitely made me feel like you got it about where I was and what I was trying to accomplish. I would recommend your book to everyone and plan to do so as I drum up support for my NEXT triathlon!

D.F.

Just wanted to send a simple thank you. Sometime in January of this past year I decided I was going to do a triathlon. I had never trained for one and honestly didnt know much about the sport. I just felt I needed a goal or change in my workout program. I have been lifting weights for over 15 years and was simply bored with my workouts.

I picked a race (The Half-Ironman Switzerland) and began thinking about making my preparations. I searched the bookstores looking for help. Most of the books were too technical and way over my head. Then I found your book, I picked it up and knew right away this was it.

I followed your training program exactly. Everything was done according to the workouts laid out in your book. All other aspects of the book were immensely helpful. Everything from the nutrition, to what clothes to wear, to what to expect on race day. All information was utilized.

The date approached quickly and everything was going well. I had two goals: 1) Finish and 2) Finish in seven hours.

Well, I completed my goalsI finished in 6:18. I was ecstatic. It was without a doubt the best day of my life. The feeling of self accomplishment was overwhelming. Thank you for your help in making that day the most enjoyable experience in my life.

M.K.

It was your book that helped me complete my first sprint triathlon. Im almost 50 and wanted a special challenge for my birthday and I ran the race in memory of my mom and dad who died when I was a teenager. Your physical and mental regimen really works!
