ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Peter H. Gregory, CRISC, CISM, CISA, CDPSE, CIPM, CISSP, DRCE, CCSK, is a 30-year career technologist and a security leader in a regional telecommunications company. He has been developing and managing information security management programs since 2002 and has been leading the development and testing of secure IT environments since 1990. Peter has also spent many years as a software engineer and architect, systems engineer, network engineer, and security engineer.

Peter is the author of more than 40 books about information security and technology, including Solaris Security, CISM Certified Information Security Manager All-in-One Exam Guide, and CISA Certified Information Systems Auditor All-in-One Exam Guide. He has spoken at numerous industry conferences, including RSA, Interop, (ISC) Congress, ISACA CACS, SecureWorld Expo, West Coast Security Forum, IP3, Source, Society for Information Management, the Washington Technology Industry Association, and InfraGard.

Peter serves on advisory boards for cybersecurity education programs at the University of Washington and the University of South Florida. He was the lead instructor for nine years in the University of Washington certificate program in applied cybersecurity, a former board member of the Washington State chapter of InfraGard, and a founding member of the Pacific CISO Forum. Peter is a 2008 graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy and a member of the FBI National Citizens Academy Alumni Association. Dawn Dunkerley received a PhD in information systems from Nova Southeastern University in 2011 with a doctoral focus on information security success within organizations. Her research interests include cyberwarfare, cybersecurity, and the success and measurement of organizational cybersecurity initiatives. Dr. Dunkerley holds a number of professional certifications, including CRISC, CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CISSP-ISSMP, CSSLP, and CompTIA Security+ certifications.

Bobby E. Rogers is an information security engineer working as a contractor for Department of Defense agencies, helping to secure, certify, and accredit their information systems. His duties include information system security engineering, risk management, and certification and accreditation efforts. He retired after 21 years in the U.S. Air Force, serving as a network security engineer and instructor, and has secured networks all over the world. Bobby has a masters degree in information assurance (IA). His many certifications include CRISC, CISSP-ISSEP, CEH, and MCSE: Security, as well as the CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, and Mobility+ certifications.

About the Technical Editor

Matthew Webster has more than 25 years of experience in both IT and cybersecurity and is the author of Do No Harm: Protecting Connected Medical Devices, Healthcare, and Data from Hackers and Adversarial Nation States. Within his realm of experience has been multiple security officer positions, including chief information security officer.
