Introduction

There are a lot of definitions of what critical thinking is. And thats what you should expect about it. Critical thinking includes much of what we are doing every time we use our brains.

The common words that describe critical thinking are: interpreting, observation, reasoning, cognitive process, reflective thought, rational thinking, focused thinking, analyzing, well-versed opinions, and evaluating information.

The aspects of critical thinking are evaluation, observation, judgment, problem solving to making conclusions and decisions. Critical thinking can also mean the ability to think conceptually while making conclusions.

The philosophy of critical thinking has started back thousands of years to the Greek Socratic and Buddhism tradition that include asking analytical questions to know if the claims to knowledge can be sensibly correct with logical reliability. When a person thinks critically, it is clarified as goals, evaluate evidence, examine assumptions, and evaluate conclusions.

In making hard decisions or choices, people that are engaged in critical thinking pay attention to the relevance of arguments and focus more on careful observation. They might not recognize the particular details in a new situation, but since they can consider details and explore it efficiently, they can deal with things that may frustrate others. These people can also normally solve problems and make decisions that require skillset.

Those who are able to maintain this type of perspective can undertake long-range tactical planning, instantaneously process details from different sources, and multitask. Along with outshining at troubleshooting themselves, they are able to serve as good listeners to those who are struggling with complicated or difficult problems. Furthermore, they can easily make an expectation of possible results of certain situations and have plans on what they are going to do next.

Some people notice the outcomes of progressive critical thinking without comprehending that its what they are actually doing. Critical thinkers are usually the most creative people as they arrange and prioritize important matters before spending their time on useless activities. They usually work less long than most people. Quite the reverse, though they work less, but are likely to work smarter. They dig the deepest part of the most complicated issues and use calm scrutiny to make the right decision or solve a complex problem.

Admit that your life isnt perfect and you are a very flawed person

Just kidding, kind of. Actually, you have already done this part. This is the first step that life improvement requires. It is the very same reason why you have sought and obtained this book. This part serves as a congratulatory section for accomplishing the biggest step of all. Now, you should proceed with the small things you should do to enhance your life further.

Don't take life so seriously!

Yes it is inevitable that people tend to look at life more seriously if they - photo 1

Yes, it is inevitable that people tend to look at life more seriously if they are having problems. But take note that nobody is forcing you to forget relaxing or laughing at your problems from time to time. Also, being serious does not ensure you that you will solve your life-related dilemmas faster. Therefore, do not use your hardships as an excuse to prevent yourself from having a good time.

Do not live in the past live in the present

Dwelling on the past forever will prevent you from moving on and looking forward. You might never progress from your issue if you spend most of your time thinking about what you should have done in the past to prevent certain events from happening in the present. Yes, you might learn invaluable lessons from the past. However, you can learn those lessons quickly once you thought about it for two to three times. If you learned your lesson, immediately tell yourself to move forward and disregard the past. Then, it is time to think about the things that you should do to prevent new problems and fix your current situation.

Do not procrastinate when it comes to problems

Procrastination is not always a bad thing. However, when it comes to solving problems, nobody should procrastinate about it. Remember that if you leave problems on their own, they tend to multiply and become worse. As much as possible, immediately fix your problems whenever the opportunity shows itself. However, it does not mean that you should just go ahead and apply any solution you come up with just to fix your problems quickly. Of course, you will also need to take your time when formulating the fixes you will use to eliminate your problems.

Do not punish yourself because of the small mistakes you have committed

Small mistakes are small mistakes. People tend to ignore them since they have no time to remember all those things in their lives. Do not punish yourself too much every time you create one; you will not get anything done if you do that. You have much more important things to do than to castigate yourself on every occasion.

Do not expect too much from life

Life is unfair, and it is true. Not all the things you hope for in this world will happen. Even though some are just within your grasp, there will be times that you will not get those things. It is typical that things go wrong unexpectedly. So, in case you experience some frustration just because you did not achieve something, let it go. You can just try again, or try something else.

Step out of your comfort zone

From time to time, you will need to explore beyond the boundaries of your comfort zone. Holing up in the same situation and place will only limit you in a small isolated place. Going out of that comfort zone will let you expand your horizons. Simply put, doing something you find uncomfortable will become comfortable if you do it at least once or more.

Avoid thinking that you are perfect you can be perfect or you aim to be - photo 2
