Andrei V. Belyi is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Energy Studies at the Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO, Moscow) and specialises in the political and legal aspects of the international energy trade. He is an associate professor and vice chair of the forum on political issues of international energy at the Faculty of World Economy and International Relations of the State University Higher School of Economics.
Eline De Ridder is Research Assistant of the Fund for Scientific Research Flanders (Ghent University, Belgium), focusing on Europeanisation and democratic consolidation in the Czech and Slovak Republics.
Viktoriya Khasson holds a Masters degree in Interdisciplinary European Studies from the College of Europe (Natolin, Poland) and has worked at the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS). Her research areas are European neighbourhood policy, countries of the post-Soviet space and regional cooperation.
Tonia Novitz is a Reader at the University of Bristol (UK). In 1998 she completed her doctorate on International Protection of the Right to Strike at Balliol College, Oxford. She was a visiting fellow at the International Institute for Labour Studies in 1999, attached to the ILO (Geneva) and during 2001/02 she was a Jean Monnet Fellow and a Marie Curie Fellow at the EUI (Florence). She has written on international labour standards and on the external role of the EU in this domain.
Jan Orbie is a Professor at the Centre for EU Studies (Ghent University, Belgium). He is co-editor of a book entitled EU Trade Politics and Development: Everything but Arms Unravelled (Routledge, 2007). His research focuses on EU trade and development politics and on Europes role in the social dimension of globalisation.
An Schrijvers is a post-doctoral researcher at the Centre for EU Studies (Ghent University, Belgium). Her research deals with the EU accession process of Poland with special attention on the Europeanisation effects on the Polish polity and politics.
Steven Sterkx obtained his PhD from the Department of Politics of the University of Antwerp (Belgium), examining the external aspects of EU asylum and migration policy from a discourse-analytical perspective. He also worked as a Teaching Fellow in the European Masters Programme on Human Rights and Democratisation (Venice, Italy).
Edith Vanden Brande is Assistant at the Centre for EU Studies (Ghent University, Belgium). Her research focuses on the EU as a leader in international environmental politics.
Syuzanna Vasilyan researches the political dynamics behind the EUs policy of regional cooperation towards the South Caucasus at the Centre for EU Studies (Ghent University, Belgium). She gained practical experience on EU external relations at the Armenian Embassy in Washington, DC, the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, a Brussels-based consultancy called The Centre and the European Parliament.
Helen Versluys is a researcher at the Centre for EU Studies (Ghent University, Belgium), focusing on the EUs humanitarian aid policies. During her internship at the European Parliament she closely followed the work of the EP Foreign Affairs Committee.
Hendrik Vos is a Professor at the Department of Political Science and Director of the Centre for EU Studies (Ghent University, Belgium).
Angela Wigger is Assistant Professor International Relations at the Radboud University in Nijmegen (The Netherlands). Her research area covers the recent transformation of competition rules and practices at the EU, with particular attention on Europes international conduct in the domain of competition.
