PETER PA RKER Having the secret identity of Spider-Man has caused Peter Parker plenty of headaches, but he knows that his powers mean that he can protect his loved ones and the citizens of New Y ork City . Peter has worked as a photographer and science correspondent for The Daily Bugle , has been a researcher at Horizon Labs, and has even owned his own multinational corporation, Parker Industries. Peter never expected the bite of a radioactive spider to react with his DNA the way it did, but he has made the most of his gifts. BRAINS AND HARD WORK Peter has always struggled for money . F or years he supported his Aunt May with his earnings from The Daily Bugle , and he has also used his engineering talents to earn money on the side. Peter doesnt accept payment for his work as Spider-Man. As a photogr apher , Peter dresses in clothing that wont draw att ention. Although his identity is theoretically secret, a lot of Spider-Mans close associates know that he is P eter P arker . Peter often curses what he calls the P arker L uck, a phenomenon in which whenever something goes right in his life, something else will go wrong. Often the Parker L uck is a side effect of Peter trying to juggle his double life.
Spidey swings high above New Yo rk City, his home and base of operations for Super Hero adventures. SPIDER-MAN Spider-Man was just an ordinary teenager when he gained super-powers from a radioactive spider .
