Statutes of UK Parliament: the regnal year is included in a first citation of a statute until 1853. Then the modern series published by HM Stationery Office begins, the annual volumes having reliable indices.
Law Reports: Abbreviations of series of Law Reports are not listed here. The names of nominate series follow standard practice for the nineteenth and twentieth centuries as listed in Halsbury's Laws of England (4th aand 5th eds, 2009), Consolidated Tables, Cases AL pp. xixlvi. Further assistance may be found in C. W. Ringrose (ed.), Where to Look for your Law (14th edn, 1962) and also within D. Raistrick's very thorough Index of Legal Citations and Abbreviations (3rd edn, 2008).
