Nothing puts me in the holiday spirit quite like a great knitting project! Crafting that perfect winter sweater gives me something to look forward to during the cold days ahead. My hands can barely work fast enough as I knit, purl, bind off, and finally slip my new piece over my head. I am so excited to share my new book, Margeau Blanc, with you. Chock full of perfect holiday projects to lift your spirits, Margeau Blanc features a collection of sweaters and accessories in traditional winter white designs. Elegant silhouettes with a modern twist; I chose white because it is clean, crisp, and chic. Blanc, as the French say, is the perfect backdrop for your winter wonderland or holiday soiree.
I particularly love the different ranges of whites offered in every yarn. Ivory, cream, ecruall are so lovely! Every shade of white is ethereal, and knit in a simple Stockinette stitch, or perfectly paired with another stitch to showcase differing textures. Each season, year after year, I find myself on the hunt for the perfect sweater. I strive to create designs that are easily incorporated into every womans daily wardrobe, are comfortable, and timeless. All of these patterns are styles that I personally love to wear and know you will too! The designs are flattering for all body types, and every pattern ensures a simple construction, achieving a sophisticated look. Whether you like to knit in the round or sew pieces together, there is something for every knitter! I think we can all agree there is nothing more exciting than wearing a creation that is handmade.
Not only will you look great, but you will feel wonderful knowing that you crafted your garment with your own two hands! Margeau Blanc also includes a plethora of accessories to keep you warm and bundled all winter long. Each accessory incorporates my favorite knitting techniques and Ive even included a few of my signatures: giant pom-poms, broken rib stitch, trendy triangles, and faux fur. These projects are easy enough for novices, but still remain unique and interesting for experienced knitters. I wish you all the best this holiday season. As you pick up your knitting needles and flip through Margeau Blanc, I know you will find patterns for a quick project over some cocoa or a longer project as you watch the snow fall. Im so happy to be part of your holiday knitting traditions and I am looking forward to seeing your finished blanc designs.
